"Give me one moment, I want to give Mayumi something real quick. She deserves to keep it more than I do," Ahnah said, taking out a permenatnly frozen flower and hanging it on the door to Frost's grave. "Frost gave that when he was stil in the enforcer academy. He gave it to me when he left to take the role as the councils spy to the outside world," she said, spreading her wings, "We were good friends, and he wanted to give me something to remember him by since his line of work would keep him out of sight for months on end. He froze the rose using his innate ice magic."

"It is something to remember him by, and it would be a great gift for mother." she said with a smile.

"That's my thinking. She deserves something that she doesn't have to worry about loosing like the ring he gave her. At least with the flower she can put it somewhere and not worry about some thief coming around and taking it," she said, lifting off the ground, "Well, we'd best be off. It'll take us most of the day to reach the other side of the forest and get to the nearest human settlments."

She nodded in understanding and jumped in the air.  "I do feel sorry I never got to give Tieral a proper goodbye, but this has to be done." she said with a sigh.  She then began to fly in the direction of the settlement.

"Don't worry too much, he'll understand. If anything, this will conovince him to hone his mentle abilities even further than they are now in an attempt to contact you. It'll do him good to make his mind stronger," she said, keeping close to the treetops.

In the distance, well beyond the hunman settlement, a black mass slowly made its way across the plains towards the mountains in the east.

Goldenscale snorted in acknowledgement, flying just below the treetops.

As Ahnah descended to joind Goldenscale, a shar lound shreek rang through the air. A few moments later, Dara could be seen jumping from tree to tree, using them to boost her forward and to catch up to Ahnah and Goldenscale.

Goldenscale slowed down and let Dara catch up.  "Is something wrong?" she asked when she was near, hoving in the air.

"No, I just wanted to give you something for your journey," Dara said between deep breaths.After calming herself, she took out a pouch full of coins and crude drawing of Goldenscale taking on and beating two deamons. "Kokkorok and I thought you might make use of this silver. The little ones drew that picture up and wanted you to have it," she said, handing the pouch and picture over ot Goldenscale, "I also wanted to wish you the best of luck."

"Thank you, Dara.  Tell the little ones that I love their picture, and I hope everything goes well for you and your family." she said with a warm smile.

"I'll be sure to tell them. I meant to give this stuff to you yesterday, but I never got around to finding you. I'm glad I was able to catch you two," she said, still catching her breath, "Konoki was right about you being one of the fastest out there."

"Took me years of training." she said with a chuckle.

"I'm sure it did. You give me something to work towards," she said, smilling, "Well, I'd best be letting you go. I'll be sure to pass word to Konoki that you're leaving for the year."

"He knows already.  I told him about a week ago.  Take care of yourself, Dara." she said as she began flying again.

"That was nice of them. The silver will help us with getting materials from the humans. They have this strange facination with gold and silver coins, and will trade just about anything for the right number of them," Ahnah said, fallowing beside Goldenscale, "We should have enough silver to get just about anything we need form them."
