Goldenscae gave a nod and sat up, placing the box in a corner of the room.  She didn't want to take it with her just in case so she wouldn't lose anything, and just in case she needed the warmth too.  She then followed Ahnah, bracing herself for the frigid air.  Hearing Coraozn speak, she then smiled and chuckled.  "Well, Moonlight and Sunlight's powers actually do not differ by much.  Konoki told me that moonlight is basically sunlight reflecting off the moon, so technically we'd still be using sunlight.  But there are certainly different takes on the powers depending on what Moonlight herself opened to you." she explained with a purr.

"That would make sense, but the moon itself is a fair bit different compared to the sun. As such, I would think that the similarities are only the basics. Where the sun provides light and heat, the moon controles the tides and and indication of passing time. It is those qualities that might influence the magic opened to me. Then again, I may just as easily be overthinking things, and my magic would be a nocturnal varient of Corazon's," Ahnah said, chuckling, "In any case, there's only one way to find out. I just need to experiment whith what is given to me."

"That's true, there's no telling what Moonlight has allowed you to access of her magic.," COrazon said. "All I can think is tht Goldenscale might be able to help find what is open to you," she said, nodding to Goldenscale, "Anyways, we have herbs to find. We can practice and talk of magic once we get to the forest. For now, I'd like to hear about Mayumi and Frost, if that isn't too personal."

Goldenscale thought and gave a shrug after hearing Ahnah speak.  "That is true...  I probably wouldn't be much help in figuring out your powers, seeing that I'm already a variant from what she usually does." she said with a smile.  She then looked to Corazon and gave a nod as she wrapped her wings around her body like a blanket.  "Well, Frost and Mayumi were the ones that I first met.  Mayumi is a healer in our community.  I met her after Frost, but she was so kind to me. But she was so sad and depressed.  When I first was brought to the community, I noticed that everything was just so strict.  Mayumi was always wronged, and it always made me upset seeing her so depressed.  But then things began to change and she got happier.  Especially when Frost proposed to her she became really happy.  And she's still happy, and I'm happy cause things are better for her." she said with a smile, though it was pained.  She had to mention Frost if she were describe Mayumi, but she didn't trust herself to talk about him without bursting into tears.

"Mayumi is a miracle worker at her best, and a victim of fate at worst. Like Goldenscale said, she's a healer, but she doesn't use magic like you or I would use. The only time she uses magic is to heal one's soul, but that's a rare occurance," Ahnah said, placing a wing over Goldenscale, "I can't say I know Frost all that well. His job had been to venture out of the cave to scout for and report threats to the council. Beyond that, he was a kind soul, but that's all I can say." Leading the way out of the village, she made for the trees that could be seen in the distance. "Back to Mayumi, I'd almost say she's a child of nature itself, but she doesn't seem to have any origin within this world. She often speaks of a world greatly differing from our own. Regardless of origin, she is a very family oriented soul. Goldenscale here can tell you how true that is," she said.

"I can only imagine what that would mean. I wont bother asking for more about Frost though, I can sense that it is a very touchy subject. Mayumi sounds to be quite peculiar though. If she doesn't use magic to heal physical wounds and injuries, what does she use," Corazon asked, fallowing close behind.

Goldenscale gave a shiver, her body responding more to the absence in her heart than to the snow and the cold.  She had thought she was strong enough to have moved on, but it must have only been buried.  She gave a soft smile to Ahnah when she placed her wing over her back, then went back to watching the snow-covered ground in front of them.  "Thank you for not mentioning Frost.  She uses plants and herbs to make potions.  Those potions are what she uses to heal the wounded and the sick.  They work very well for all purposes." she explained, her voice hoarse as she tried to compose herself again.

"She must have a deep understanding of her craft then. It would make sense if she actually is a flrion though, who better to know nature than the idea of nature and soul given form," Corazon said, taking out a bone similar to Ahnah's. Pausing for a moment, she held the bone to her chest before a feint light crept from the runes on it, the light flowing over the ground to outline the roots of plants below them. "There, that should help locating some of these herbs."

"Mayumi knows plenty about healing for sure. I would hope she will pass the knowledge on to others one day, it would be  a shame shoul that knowledge be lost, and her legacy be forgotten," Ahnah said, starting to trace the roots shown, "Knowing her though, she's already accounted for that. I figure that she'll have something in place by the time we can return home to both teach a catalog healing knowledge."

Goldenscale gave a small smile and nodded to Corazon in agreement before she watched the Shaman outline the roots in the ground. Awestruck, she just looked, before gently shaking her head and going over to the roots to follow Ahnah's example. She normally would have just searched for the smell of the plant attached, but with Corazon's magic, it made the searching faster. After the roots had been outlined, she went over to one and began to gently dig through the snow and the dirt to get to the herb. "I'm sure that Mayumi will find someone to apprentice. She is fairly young though, so I doubt it will happen anytime soon. But her craft is indeed unique and very helpful." she said in agreement with Ahnah.

Clearing away a large section of snow, Ahnah began to carefully pick the leaves of the herbs there. "Who knows, I may get lucky enough to become that apprentice. When this journey is over, I'd like to learn more of the healing arts. Before meeting you, I had planned on asking her to teach me, but we see how those plans have turned out. I can't say I'd rather be learning her art right now though, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else than at your side," she said, counting out the leaves she had gathered, "For now, I have more than enough healing magic to deal with whatever we come up against, and some for me to discover."

"Well, I hope she accepts you as an apprentice. Having something to fall back on when magic isn't quite enough is always nice. On that note, you two never did tell me how you met each other beyond it being part of a ceremony of some sort," Corazon said, checking the nearby trees for ivies.

Goldenscale smiled warmly at Ahnah, Ahnah's statement bringing the warmth of joy into her. "And I would like to stay by your side as well. Besides, maybe I can arrange something for you in case Mayumi does accept you as an apprentice. You deserve the best." she said with a purr as she finished her job and raised her nose into the air to sample to different aromas. She then gave a slight squeak of a sneeze before looking to Corazon with a chuckle. "That was how we found each other though. I was being inducted into the Council back home, and one of the precautions of being a Councilmember is that I had to choose 3 Enforcers, or guardians. All the available Enforcers were lined up, and I inspected each one thoroughly, only selecting the best three of the group. There was no way to tell which would be stronger, but the three I chose had the most potential. Ahnah had been one of them. But back then you went by a different name. Wasn't it Talia or something?" she asked as she tried to remember.

"That'd be correct. As far as the coouncil and the other Enforcers knew at that time, that was my name. I had also his my appearance behind a spell. I had been hiding from a well intentioned rule until that time," Ahnah said with a nod, her appearance shifting briefly to the scale form she had first been see in, "I'm just glad I got the chance to serve at your side. I couldn't have imagined that I would be able to be myself at that time."

"I would ask why you hid yourself, but that seems unimportant given the you no longer need to hide," Corazon said, blinking when Ahnah's appearance shifted, "You had your reasons I'm sure."

Goldenscale gave a shrug. "Appearances mean nothing to me. I've lived in at least 6 different communities by now, and the forest itself does count, so I could honestly have cared less whether you had a different form. While I am aware that a lot of people don't act that way, I'm glad things are changing for the better now." she said with a smile. "Besides, both your forms are beautiful." she said. Thinking about forms, Goldenscale gasped. "I have other ones too! I wonder if one of them could keep me warmer." she said. She didn't really want to experiment though, not while she could use her magic for better purposes. But that was besides the point. She needed to keep looking for the herbs. "How much do we need of everything?" she asked.

"We need at least five of each for each soul we wish to morne, and one for each new life we wish to celebrate. I'm going to go ahead and pick a few extras since they have medicinal uses as well," Corazon said, counting what she had picked so far, "As for you changing form granting better heat retention, that would depend on your magic. It might be possible if it changes your physical form rather than creating an illusion though."

"You needn't worry about being cold so long as I'm around. Besides, we've just about got what we need anyways. We need only a few more of each to serve our intentions," Ahnah said, placing a wing over Goldenscale, "Like sis said though, it would all depend on how your magic works."

Goldenscale listened to Corazon as she spoke, nodding her head as she stored the information away.  "How much do we have so far?  I could search for more if we need it." she offered with a shrug of her shoulders.  She then chirped as Ahnah spoke, nuzzling into her when she placed her wing over her.  "I do not use illusions.  I change my form to something similar to that of Moonlight's, sometimes others if I so wish.  Changing forms does take a lot more energy than illusions, but I don't do it often unless I have a reason.  I like saving my energy for other magics instead." she said with a shrug.

"I'd say we only need about a handfull or two of each to fill our needs. As for your magic, it may be possible if you transformed into something with a much thicker coat of fur or feathers, or something internally insulated. For now, I think it'd be best if you saved your energy for now though," Ahnah said, giving a smile as she went back to tracing the roots, "Besides, you're fine the way you are. Once we reach the Shifting Expanse, there wont be any need for us to hide behind a human diguise anyways. I may not have ever traveled out beyond the Exspanse, but humans themselves have records saying the places beyond are unsuitable for them."

"i'd still be careful though. Human might not travel out that far, but there's bound to be other creatures and kinds of dragons out there. Only a fool would think they're truly safe while traveling after all," Corazon said, fallowing a large cluster or roots, "All I can do is wish safe passage for you though. If I didn't have responcibilities, I'd like to travel with you all, but I'm needed here."

Goldenscale gave a nod.  So they wouldn't need many more herbs for the ceremony.  She might as well pick a bit more just in case though.  She then looked to Ahnah in confusion at her next statement concerning her power.  "Well, I don't know what I can shift for that then.  I would guess maybe a Griffon, or I could try shifting to a Tundra like you.  But I guess saving my energy would be best." she ended with a shrug.  The golden dragon then smiled and purred for a moment before frowning towards the end of Ahnah's statement.  If humans couldn't even survive in that kind of environment, how could they survive?  As far as she knew, everywhere they had been was also someplace that a human could live, so there could be a chance that it could affect them too.  Corazon's addition to the information made her more skeptical.  At her last statement, Goldenscale smiled at Ahnah's sister and nodded.  "You are.  Your mission  is here, and ours is elsewhere.  As much as we would love your company, there is no need for it." she said with a nod.
