Stepping forward, Aipaloovik looked to the floor before speaking. "Don't worry yourself with Aga's condition any longer Corazon, shis no longer suffering. She walks with the spirits now," he said, never raising his gaze, "She went with a smile on her face though. She wished to see your sister once more before she went, and it was granted later yesterday evening. Her passing has changed many a person, mostl Alignak and Deniigi."

Falling silent, Corazon took several steps back, retreating into an alcove  where her bed sat. "I never got to say goodbye. I should have said something  all hose years agi when she first became ill," she mumbled, tears smudging the white pain on her face, "At least she's not hurting anymore. She died happy."

Goldenscale looked down as Aipaloovik began to speak, not wanting to se the Shaman's expression when she was told the news.  It didn't matter anyways, all of the pain and sorrow eminating from her aura washed over her anyways.  Within Ahnah she could withstand it, but now there was a second person adding to what she had felt the previous night, and it made her weak.  Her body shook ever so slightly, and she had to place a barrier up preventing her from reading any auras just so she could keep herself functioning.  She looked up, of course looking sympathetic, at Corazon.  "She did die happy, and everyone can remember her in the future." she said quietly.

"That's all I can ask for. She can be happy and pain free now. She's free from what has taken her health," Corazon said, her eyes filled with confusion and pain as she stared over the group, "Thank you for telling me. I suppose the Final Rite has already been done."

"Corazon, you should probably take today and the next couple days easy. You may not have had emotions for all these years, but it's very clear that some still exist within you mind, even if you don't know how to react to them," Aipaloovik said, walking over to comfort his cousin, "This pain will pass eventually as time goes by. Until it leaves, please don't try taking on tasks larger than what would take a few minutes to perform."

Goldenscale was sorry to see Corazon so baffled by emotions.  But that's how she had been raised, never able to show emotions and having to stow them away in the deepest part of her mind.  She wished she could help out more, like she had Ahnah, and then she thought she might.  "Could I come and help you while you rest?  I know my way arou d plants pretty well and I want you to be able to have time to mourn the loss of your mother.  I understand if you don't want to accept my offer, I just wantto be able to help." she offered, hoping she could.  She obviohsly wouldn't be able to do that very often, but she certainly could try.

Looking up, Corazon stared blankly at Goldenscale, seemingly at something that was between her and the other. After a moment, sadness returned to her eyes as she laid her head back down. "So long as someone doesn't ask for something ritualistic, you have the same medicinal knowledge as I do with herbs. Judging from what the spirits say, the knowledge you hav comes from nature itself," she said, weakly nodding to a door covered in thick moss, "Every plant you would ever need for these parts is grown in there. It is best that I let this run its course. In my current state, I would only cause more harm than good if I were to work."

Goldenscale nodded.  "If you neeed anything, don't hesitate to tell me." she said with a slight smile.  She then turned to Aipaloovik and Midnight.  "Alright, since I'm going to be waiting here and helping Corazon, you guys can go back.  Be sure to tell Ahnah what I'm doing if she asks.  Same goes for anyone else.  Is there anything wlse either of you need?" she askd.  She would do fine here as long as she didn't try to fall asleep while woeking.  It shouldn't be a problem though, since there was a fire gokng and she didn't feel the pull as much inside.

"We're good for now unless Corazon has something she wants of us," Aipaloovik nodded, adding some wood to the fire, "I'll make sure Ahnah knows you'll be helping here though. She doesn't need any more to worry about at this time. Hopefully father will be by some time soon."

"I'm probably just going to rest back at Deniigi's place. My balance may be back, but it still feels like this cold is draining me of energy," Midnight said, giving a nod, "If I can, I'll try to get Ahnah to come visit yout wo here sometime during the day. She should spend what time we have here with her family."

"I can only hope she's as friendly as you two. If she contains the silver soul, then the spirits have granted her knowledge of the world. There's no telling what  that has done to her mind over the years," Corazon said, thinking, "It might have made her agressive, or any manner of tempermental extreme."

Goldenscale gave a nod to both of them, then smiled when Midnight said she would try to send Ahnah.  She then shook her head.  "There's no need to do that.  If she wants to, she'll come.  Just give her the idea.  We don't need to seem ,ike she has to do this." she said.  She then turned to Corazon when she said that she hoped Ahnah was nice.  Well, she had every right to be afraid of Ahnah since she didn't know anything about her.  "She is one of the nicest beings I have ever met.  She's only agressive if someone of something is showing agression towards someone she cares about." she said with a smile.  She then turned back to Midnight.  "You should probably head back to Deniigi's now since we are done and you need to get back to warmth." she said.

Giving a nod, Midnight fallowed Aipaloovik back out.

"That's good to hear. I was expecting her to be more agressive given that she openly defied father. I don't know what I'll say to her though," Corazon said, seeming to slowly regain her composure, "I suppose if she's morning mother's passing as well, then she couldn't have been that bad of a person."

After some time, Deniigi came to the hut, knocking on the door before entering. "Oh, I wasn't expecting you here Goldenscale," he said, pausing for a moment when he spotted her. Taking a moment to look for Corazon, he lowered his head upon spotting her. "I'm guessing Aipaloovik broke the news to her," he said, stepping over to the two, "It must have been only a few minutes ago, judging from the given aura."

Goldenscale nodded.  "She was terribly affected by Aga's death.  Unfortunately she stopped functioning and just laid down outside instead of inside.  As terribly as I dislike cold weather and snow, I stayed by Ahnah's side the entire time.  Even now she's mourning.  It's a terrible thing, loosing a parent." she said.  She then looked at the door when Deniigi entered, her ears lowered behind her head and her head lowering as well.  "He did.  I was explaining to her about Ahnah, then she said something about wondering how her mother was.  I didn't know what to do, whether I should say what happened or not, and Aipaloovik told her.  Now I'm helping out while she mourns..." she said quietly.

"She may be the clan's only shaman at this time, but she deserves to mourn just as much as anyone else. So long as you can handle the medicinal side of things, I now have the right to perform the rituals again. While there is a preference for the shaman to do it, both shaman and clan leader are taught the rituals needed to maintain spiritual connection with the world around us," Deniigi said, giving a nod, "It's good that someone told her though. Her emotions may be crippled, but she still has a sense of self and trust. if she would have found out on her own, I wouldn't blame her for loosing trust in her own family. At least this way she doesn't have to question that."

"For a shaman to loose trust in their clan is for the clan to be doomed,' Corazon said, cleaning off the pain from her face, revealing the mask like black fur that was underneath, "I just wish it was father who told me."

Goldenscale only nodded and listened.  There was really no need for her to speak further in the conversation.  She was already afraid that all this sorrow would make her unable to do anything too.  She knew just how it felt, how crippling and paralyzing it was, and she loathed the feeling.  She then frowned and sighed.  "Well, he's mourning too.  I guess he's just trying to adjust as well..." she said quietly, a growing sense of inability to answer filling her mind.

"Aga's passing came as much of a surprise as it did to everyone else. The only reason he hasn't visited today is because he insisted on taking the ashes to the mountain sumit himself, something usually reserved for youngest able members of the deceased's family," Deniigi said, sitting down beside Corazon and placing a wing over her back, "He will be fine though. I'm sure you remember the trips he used to make with Aga to the sumit."

Leaning into Deniigi, Corazon let out a sigh before closing her eyes. "I remember. They were always so happy when they came back. They had promised me they take me one day, but that was before the illness struck mom," she said, "I guess not all promises are meant to be kept. Nature had different plans. I just hope Moher is happy, wherever her spirit ends up."

Entering during the last few moments of Corazon's statment, Ahnah made her way over to Goldenscale before sitting down herself."Wherever she is, she went with a smile and a granted wish. While those who knew her mourn, she will be making her way to a new life. . Time will only tell where she ends up," she said, taking her rib out and taking a knife from near the fire to start adding in a new rune, "While I wish I could have had a few more moments, I know that they woud have been that many moremoments of pain for her. As hard as it may be, we must remember that she only wished for us to be happy, no matter how hidden in our own minds it may be."

Goldenscale was surprised to hear that Alignak was going ot the summit of a mountain by himself.  By what she had heard about mountains from the forest was that there were few being able to survive up there because of the low levels of oxygen and the altitude.  But if he thought he could make it, there was no reason why he shouldn't do it.  She then turned to Corazon when she said that her father and mother promised to take her up the mountain.  There was still the possibility of her father taking her there, but there was no telling if it would actually happen.  She was becoming uncomfortable around all of this sadness, though she showed no signs of it.  She was normally a very hyper and euphoric being, and this sadness didn't feel right.  Of course everyone felt it, so she said nothing, only keeping her head and ears down.  Ahnah then entered the room and sat down by her, Goldenscale only glanced up at her, then put her head down, the mood casting hers down as well.  There is always a chance she could come back to the village again as another being, though she wasn't sure it would happen.  She couldn't seem to figure out how to respond now.

"Having thought over everything mother has said to me when I was just a hatchling, it's obvious she only ever wanted for me to be happy. Everything she said to me a few days ago made it equally appearant that she only wanted everyone to be happy," Ahnah said, wincing with every cut into the bone she made, " It was her life's wish, and part of her very being. She wouldn't want us to be sad over her passing. She may be gone, but she will always be with us."

"He spirit will return to us one day, but we must remember the good memories of her till then. Once Alignak gets back, you should  take the day to spend some time  outside. Goldenscale and I should be able to handle whoever comes in," Deniigi said, nudging Corazon to her feet, "If anything, he should be able to fix some of the damage he has done.He may not be the best person to restore your sense of emotion, but he's the only one with a strong enough connection to you. If anything, that will at least clear the confusion they bring to you."

Once she was done carving into the bone, Ahnah placed the knife back by the fire. Looking to Goldenscale, she frowned. "Don't let the atmosphere get to you dear. It's only a natural thing to feel in these situations. Thank you for giving some time to think over everything though. It made me realize how pointless being depressed would be," she said, lightly nuzzling into Goldenscale's neck, "Mother wouldn't want any of us to mourn her passing any longer than needed."
