"I don't know, I haven't really known him for that long. What exactly is all this," Ece asked, looking over the materials,"Maybe we should ask him."

"May I ask who this Alekai is? I might be able to help pick something out for him if I knew a little more about him," the clerk said.

"I'll call him so you can meet him." she said with a smile as she thought of him and brought him to her location, using the exact same method she used with Ece.

Appearing in front of Goldenscale and promtly waking up, Alekai yawned and stretched. "This must the place I see hding behind my dreams," he said, looking around before coming to the varani and skins, "What's all this?"

"Ah, he must have one of those varani made Mossed. Quite the piece of they are if I do say so myself," the clerk said, measuring Alekai's dimesions, "I'd give a fortune to work on one like Alekai here, but Mossed always seems to refuse."

She smiled.  "Since you are a machine that is covered in a skin, I was wondering if you woul like any of these.  You don't have to if you don't want to.  There are still many things I have to learn about Varani in general." she said.  "What do you mean, work on a varanius?" she asked the clerk.

"If it's possible, I would like to look more like you and Tieral," Alekai said,  nodding, "It would make it easier to fit in with the rest of the cave."

"Well, I like to fix varani as a hobby. Reskinning is just one of many things I can do with varani. Mossed's varani are different though. They seem to run on a completely different power source. They also seem to have complete free will," the clerk said, laying out two charts detailing Mossed's varani and normal varani, "From what I dunderstand, he refuses to work on varani with MIRACLE, or anyone at that point, for some reason or another. He never explains. I can only assume he has some secret hidden away inside each one he makes."

"Is that so.  Well, Alekai here wants a skin that looks somehwhere between me and my mate, Tieral." she said as she produced an image of her and Tieral.

"A custom skin it is then. If you'll give me a moment, I'll have the perfect skin made up for him. This wont take nearly as long as it would in reality," the clerk said as she started working with the materail in hand. A few moments later, she held up the material again showing the textured surface and light shade of gold. "Here we go, all finished. All you need to do now is believe this is now Alekai's skin. When the Ball is over, this will remain his skin," she said, "All I ask in return is a little time to study Alekai's structure."

Goldenscale sighed, but smiled.  "Alright. but don't do anything that would make Mossed angry.  He was the one that showed me this little wonder." she said.

"I promise to bring  no harm to him Ma'am. I will treat him as though he was an acient artifact being examined," the clerk said, "I just wish to know what gives mossed's varani such compacity for knowledge and thought."

'At least I build him and created his soul...' she thought to herself.  "Alright.

"I see you have at least a taste of what being a mother is like. Quite the task that one is," Nefirian said, fading in at Goldenscale's side, "I can tell your life will be one worth retelling for generations well into the future. Who knows, you may be the one retelling it  alongside you mate and children. Your journey will bring much more than extended life to your family. What exactly 'more' means is up to you."

"I don't understand what you mean by that, Nefirian." she said, turning to him.

"Your main goal is to bring your lifespan to your loved ones. you will encounter much more on your journey than what only pertains to that goal. It will bring to far off places, and those places will offer you so much more. It is up to you what you want to take with you, and what you want to leave," Nefirian said, "Be it knowledge, relations, or material possessions, you will returne with more than you set out to retrieve. That is what I mean."

"It does make sense." she said with a smile. 

"You have such a wonderful family. Everyone is doing something to make life easier or better for the other. It makes me wish i could have the same, but that is hard to maintain when said family is spread over an entire planet, and two realms," he said, producing a small candied treat and handing it to Ece, "So long as you have family and friends, you will always have reason to live..... That's something i should have realized oh so long ago."
