Goldenscale.  "Alright.  We've met him already, and he was the one who agreed to lead us.  I did not know he was your brother though." she said.  Ahnah, we are heading towards the house now to speak with Aipaloovik's father.  I spoke with your mother and she wants to see you, though I did not tell her you were here.  He smelled your scent on me though, so he sort of thinks you are here.  Hurry, and try to mask your smell, though I will use a spell if I have to to mask it. she said to Ahnah using her telepathy.  She made sure that nothing listened in to their conversation.  "It will be nice being able to converse about our plan though."

I figured he would be able to sense that just after you left. I know this village well enough, I can head out now, and meet up with mother without ever running into you or father. Ahnah replied I've already taken measures to hide myself from him. Deniigi will be waiting for you with Aipaloovik.

"You will have about ten minutes to disguss your plan of action with Deniigi. After that, we will head foro the Fortress entrance. I will leave you there," Alignak said, giving a small nod, "After everything is said and done, I will need to speak with my brother about beinging strangers into the village."

"Okay.  That should be adequate time to be able to gather a plan." she said with a nod.  She then sighed, though it was quiet enough not for Alignak to hear.  He was getting on her nerves, and she didn't like it.  If he dared to harm Deniigi after all her had done for them, then there for sure would be no choice but to fight him and make him realize what he was doing.

"I would hope so. It would be best if you managed to get into the Fortress before dark," he said, closing the lock, "I do hope you have a way of keeping warm. Deniigi may have thick fur, but he can only provide so much heat himself."

Goldenscale nodded.  "I can generate heat with my magic for Midnight and I.  We will be okay in the Fortress.  We also have a few blankets we can use," she said.  I wouldn't be very hard to find a way to keep warm, hopefully.

"Good, you might be strangers, but I don't want anymore people dieing in that prison of a fortress. The Icewarden created the Fortress as his home, but also as a tomb of a sorts," he said, "Now, we should head for Deniigi's house. You should know the way back."

"Yes, we do.  Thank you for letting us use these supplies.  I could probably regrow more herbs for you to restock when we are finished." she said as she began to walk back to the house.  She certainly hoped that Ahnah was safely at Alignak's house to visit with her mother.  She deserved to see her mother after all she had gone through. 

"It's the least I can do seeing as you'll be entering one of this worlds most fortifiied locations. With you insisting on going in, I want you to at least have a chance at surviving," he said, pausing for a moment to look  to the sky, "It's only a matter of time before someone can manage toreach the central chamber."

Goldenscale looked at Alignak in confusion.  "What do you mean when you say that 'it's only a matter of time before someone can manage to reach the central chamber?  Do you mean the center of the Fortress, where the rune is hidden away?" she asked.  She often got confused about the simplest of things, but it is bound to happen with her already vast knowledge.

"Yes. Eventually, someone will manage to retrieve the rune and champion from that Fortress. One day, the savior from the old legends will come to revive Kyne," he siad, looking to the mountains, just visible over the walls of snow, "The savior has yet to show their face in this village, and I'm beginning to think they may be born elsewhere. The saviors withs souls of silver Gold, and shadow have yet to be heard of."

Goldenscale looked at Alignak in confusion.  "What do you mean about a shadow having yet to be heard of?" she asked.  Alignak seemed to be speaking in riddles, and though she could figure out most of it, some bits still confused her.  There was no point acting like they knew what was being talked about, and it would make things clearer later on, hopefully.

"The old texts speak of an event called the resurrection. It starts with three beings who's souls bare a prominent color. One's soul is gold, one's is silver, and the last's is painted black by the powers of Kagenokami, or diety of shadows. The third has yet to be found by the spirits of the world. The other two have had several itterations across the many years we've spent listening for them, but have never come together," he said, giving a tired sigh, "If you and Ms. Tulip here do manage to survive the Fortress, I will tell you more, but that will have to suffice for now."

Goldenscale nodded.  "Okay.  Then we shall have to try hard to make sure we do survive to hear the tale.  And her name is Midnight.  But I do have one question about this.  Who is Kagenokami?" she said with a frown.  She did continue to follow, occasionally ruffling her feathers or giving a swift shiver.  It wasn't that she felt cold just yet, but the leader made her feel uncomfortable.  She tried hiding it with the fact that she might be cold.  

"Kagenokami,is the spirit of shadows and darkness. She also goes by the name of Shadowbinder or Nightmother in different regions," he said as Deniigi's house came into view over the snow walls, "Regardless of name, she  has always controled the shadws, ever since Kyne fought off the Shade."

Goldenscale smiled.  "Oh, that's who you're talking about.  I met her once.  She was the one that gave me a book on where the runes are and about them and everything." she said happily.
