Goldenscale sighed.  "Oh.  Well then there is nothing I can do.  I thought that maybe I could help her if she was dying from an illness or something, but I guess not." she said quietly.  She then gave a nod.  "I will try all I can to change it.  If I can change the hearts and minds of those back home, I certainly try to do the same here." she said.  "But I do not want to cause you discomfort Ahnah, and I will not do so unless you are okay with it." she added.

"Father has provent to me that he doesn't care about me. Short of him being my father, I have no reason to care what happens to him any more," Ahnah said, curling into a ball, "I could care less about what you do about him. I just want to be happy, and all he's represented to me is pain."

Goldenscale laid her head next to Ahnah's.  "Then I won't try to change his mind until we leave.  As soon as you have left the gate, I will try to make him change his mind, and if he does, then he wil have to deal with the greif of knowing you will never come back, but if he doesn't then you don't have to worry.  Does that sound okay?" she asked, moving her head closer.

"It may seem petty of me to say this, but with all the pain he's caused me, I say make him suffer. Even if it's only  simple grief, it will be a spark of joy inm y heart," she said, "If he does change his mind, I want to at least be there to tell him farewell before we leave. He's taken so much from me, and I want to be the one who takes me away form him for the last time."

Goldenscale nodded.  "It is only fair.  He took away so much and caused you so much pain and grief, it is only right for you to do the same.  I will be behind you the entire time." she said, giving a silent yawn afterwards.  Ahnah was so warm, and she was getting sleepy...

"Thank you for being there. You're more than I could ever ask for in a person. Between you and Tieral, I have all I could ever ask for," she said, taking the blanket the elder had given her and folding it up before slding it under Goldenscale's head, "I couldn't have ask for better friends or mate."

Stepping back in from the back room, Aipaloovik walked over to a corner and sat down facing Goldenscale and Ahnah, his expression that of confusion and uncertiancy.

"Me too, Ahnah..." she said quietly before falling asleep.  She then began to purr quietly as she slept, moving closer to her a bit.  Ahnah and Tieral were wonderful friends, enforcers, and mates and she would do anything in the world for them.

Despite the storm raging on outside, the night passed by peacefuly, the only noises coming from high winds blowing by. The next morning came from the sound of water boiling and ceramic cup clinking against their saucers.

Starting to move around, Ahnah slowly came to. Sitting up, she looked around till her gaze came upon a sleeping Aipaloovik still in the corner her has taken to the night before.

Goldenscale still slept peacefully, though when Ahnah moved, she curled ber body closer to herself.  She pawed the air a bit as if she was trying to catch something, though she soon curled her hands back to her chest tightly before geing still.  The night had gone by peacefully and she rather did like the sleep.  SIncehaving to keep watch the day before, she had been a bit exhausted, and now she just wanted to sleep though she knew she should get up.

Standing up and stretching, Ahnah moved over to one of he windows to check on the status of the built up snow. Looking out, she could see most the village had been half covered with snow. The only way to get out of the house would  be to climb up the slick  chimney, but she wasn't about to risk injury for something so trivial. Returning to Goldenscale's side, Ahnah sat where she could keep an eye on Aipaloovik.

Afttr a few minutes, Goldenscale yawned.  "Morning..." she said quietly, rousing herself.  She uncurked and gave a high pitched yawn.  She then sat up and stretched.  "How was your night, Ahnah..." she asked, rubbing one of her eyes.

"Well, but my mind was more troubled than it has been in a long time," she said, making sure not to let her cousin leave her sight, "It can't be helped, especially with what happened last night and the hormones going through me right now. As for our plans for today, we're stuck here until the snow is cleared by those who can manage to get out."

"I see you two are finally awake. I'm sorry for the way my son acted last night. I know I taught him better than that, but it seems he still has much to learn about the world," the elder said, handing Ahnah and Goldenscale hot glasses of tea, "I wouldn't mind him once he wakes. He's probably still confused and dazed over the whole situation."

"I can try and move the snow from the door..." Goldenscale said tiredly.  Ahe nodded and smiled in thanks before sipping it slowly.  "Just as long as he doesn't make Ahnah cry again, I'll try to keep my head." she said, closing her eyes as she sipped.

"It would be best to wait for some other to clear the snow. Aipaloovik told me about you weakness to the cold, so you are welcome to stay here as long as you need. I can't offer much more than hot tea and a little bit of food, but I'll do what i can," the elder said, sitting down near the fire, "Aipaloovik should cause any more grief for Ahnah though. I used to be the shaman of this village so I know a few tricks in convincing those his age to make their own opinions. You might think it's a little unorthadox, but it is a sure fire way to get them to make their own opinions."

Goldenscale smiled.  "I do have a weakness to cold, but I can stand little bits of it.  And you don't need to offer much other than a warm fire.  If I have to, I can grow plants to eat." she said with a purr.  "Well, he now might make his own opinions, and that's okay.  There are more than enough ways of convincing people, whether it be magic or logic ir something else."
