Yay reset time, and so many gryphon babies from yesterday! A lot with gladiator..but they atleast have a good recessive to work with. So many names to come up with for all this new gryphons. 

I'm leveling parched up marans, so soon (ish) he'll be lvl 50 for higher gp offspring!

I don't see the appeal of gryphons, they just aren't as powerful as a lightning strike roc with massive wings and sharp feathers.

Musical beak, second breath/lionheart, sharp feathers. Still powerful and can irritate others :)

And I like berserk because seeing attack numbers grow to ridiculous heights is naturally pleasing. Some day I'll get a few lucky hits, increase it over 1000 and one-shot someone's annoying perfect uni. So much for your regeneration then, hehe.

Pff arete, I throw in my gryphons to arena at level 1 and they hardly (if ever) get losses. They're fairly strong, and gryphons seem to have some natural extra luck with them that blesses them in fights (like when my perfect, level 50, gp3 lykos losses to a gp1 gryphon with all normal genes..again). 

Rocs are nice and all, but theyre just a boring bird compared to a bird AND lion hybrid :P

I like gryphons! I mean, they're not a focus for me, but they're neat and have some interesting genes, even if they don't have any super-overpowered gene combos. (And pigeon deviants are the coolest-looking thing in the game, IMO.)

Now, pumas? I don't see the point of pumas. Why are they in this fantasy game. Why. At least all their species-specific genes are either shared with gryphons or duplicated by throdama morph abilities.

I must breed more throdama morphs. It's getting the warrior pheromone that's so difficult :(

Ok ok, I give. Gryphons are rather cute, and I do lose to them some times.

You forget that pumas arnt just cats, theyre giant monster cats. Look at that thing! You could ride pumas!

After seeing the size comparisions I had to make my own...

For me the hard one is harvester—it takes so long! Although I battle my pets a lot, and I tend to only take higher-levelled ones exploring. 

I've been trying to hold off on breeding more special morphs until I've got workers that meet my gene goals—but it's hard. 

ETA: With pumas, I just can't get past the name For me, pumas are the most mundane of the big cats—they're cool as real animals go, but compared to a dragon there's a bit of cognitive whiplash. Even though the fictional ones are pretty different, I can't quite get over the association.

And more in the original spirit of this thread—I finally managed to breed a throdama with Counterstrike <i>and</i> the recessives for Acute Eyesight and Elemental Resistance! Given how rare all of those genes (except Quickmind) are in the species, I'm pretty excited. Now to get rid of that pesky Elemental Vulnerability, and pull in some good muscles and mandibles genes...

Dang, I want a change sex... The only deviant rocs I seem to have bought with perfect homozygosity (is that a word?) are male, and I want to breed some pretty pretty double devs.

Males are way too common...im my stables it's near a 60/40 chance. In one gryphon litter then were ten males and two were female...I know your pain. It's why im addicted to warping the very identity of my animals on the regular.

If you set the change sex to the astrologist you might be lucky enough to get one of those from a hero hall/temple guard instead of a glorious stone golem design.

I don't use the astrologist...

No worries, I bought one. Now I'm gonna try get one from the item exchanges.

Pity Sumatra Echo isn't selling hers for silver. I have no interest in grinding on another game  just to earn items for this one.
