Finally back-ish, yay. Got a bunch of gryphs in training again. Forgot how expensive it was, yikes. Not sure how long this million silver will last. xD

On griffy side of things, satisfying progress lately. I managed to code a battle system with MP, learnable spells and stuff. Next will try a quest/conversation system with NPCs, and wonder how to attach stat boosts to wearables (for magic armour or whatever).

... no, I'm not sure why a breeding game really needed battles etc, but I just wanted to do something with Javascript, so yeah. :D The stat progression and breeding is a bit Howrse-ish.

Also, I've learned the hard way exactly why BeastKeeper and other games never fully delete creatures. x__x Now my griffs are popping up in the database in weird orders, some don't appear in my flock or breeding pages, and they're basically unreachable unless you know the ID number to get to their profile. Aaargh. This will be messy to fix.

Nope. I'm using a free webhost for development, and there are no backups.  .__.  At least it's really easy to backup the main site files, with FTP.

Also for some mysterious reason I couldn't get some JS libraries working (trying to start a tiled map for exploring) - maybe a conflict with jQuery, or an issue with the PHP pages, or ??? So I guess this will have to be done in plain JS. Hmph. Fine then.

Well, I've found that it's nearly impossible to keep breeding my perfect-ish gryphs because 99% of them are related on some level. -_-  So uh. I'm gonna make all the males available for breeding and hopefully others can get some good results. Have fun!

Then we can work together later once our stock is different. I'm so envious of the massive perfect uni population and how varied they are. xD;

All these marans gryphon breedings are like christmas presents. I was starting to get into an inbreeding rut too, this is perfect. Lots of gryphons will be having a good time today...if only birth hastening postions were cheaper i'd buy way too many.

I've been looking longingly at Zaltys' amazing ones for too long (and been picking up loads of their discarded ones from the pound, heh).

Haha, pound browsing is always fun...

I'll try to make more skins in the future and sell them cheaper, if inspiration decides to flow again.
