10% chance each time of getting a deviant. Provided parents are homozygous for colour and pattern.
To get double devs, breed pattern devs with colour devs.

Does it matter if it is a dominate or recessive gene or does both parents have to have domninate genes for the 10% of breeding a deviant?

Homozygous (both genes are the same gene). Dominant or recessive both have an equal chance of being passed on here, just that it's safer if theyre both the same

EG For a cremello, I have both parents with:
Chestnut/Chestnut
Cream/Cream
Then, to get double deviants:
Chestnut*/Chestnut* Chestnut/Chestnut
Cream/Cream Cream*/Cream*

Oh thank you for the example. Makes sense now since I have been tring to bred more deviants but only bred one out of 20 pets

Yeah, it's one out of ten chance EACH TIME.
So you might have three in a row, or none, or two with fifteen inbetween.

I put the rejects in the pound. If someone else comes along wanting to breed deviants they're welcome to grab them :)

I place mine with okayish genes in my Free tabs and the others thats really good as in GP3 in my Trades/Selling tab since they are still babies. But if no one claims them after they are grown, i get impatient and pound them all. Some people may be lucky others may not.

Hey guys, sorry for jumping in after so long, but just to confirm - in order to get a 10% chance of getting a deviant, I need parents whose dominant and dormant color and pattern genes are both homozygous? As in, "Kestrel/Kestrel" and "Cat/Cat"? In that case, would both parents need to have the same color and pattern genes as each other? In this example, a 2x Kestrel 2x Cat male with a 2x Kestrel 2x Cat female?
