Chase snorted. "Oh, really? How about I bring a RAY OF SINSHINE to your day!?"

He tossed her his Saxe knife, and started singing a really bad version of Walking on Sunshine. 

Faelin clamped a hand over her mouth and tried to contain her laughter, "Stop!" She shrieked, "before I throw this knife at you!!"

Chase's singing came to an end and he burst into a fit of snorting and laughing mixed with coughing here and there. 

He finally calmed down and sighed. "Ahhh, but hey, I was a RAY of happiness since I made you laugh!"

Faelin snorted, "Oh yeah, definitely. I see you in a whole new LIGHT now."

She started laughing hysterically again, "This is so ridiculous."

Chase laughed even though it made his headache worse. After a couple of seconds he stopped. "Okay, seriously though, can I please have something to eat? I promise to only puke in the bucket and not on you!"

Faelin rolled her eyes, "FINE. What do you want?"

Chase grinned. "Absolutely anything and everything!" He sat up, feeling slightly better. "As long as I get soda and pizza I'm happy!"

"Okay," Faelin glanced at her watch, "I'll go down to the Mess Hall and grab something along those lines. Be back in a few."

"Thanks! Bye!" Chase looked over at Violet but she seemed to be off in her own world. He grabbed his bag, pulling out a picture he'd drawn when he was little.

It was a picture of him and his mom, his mom had a speech bubble saying "I'm so proud of you!" And little-Chase was looking super happy. 

That was what he expected when he took home his end of year grades, but all she'd said was. "Okay." And put it down.

Faelin jogged down the stairs and outside. She passed the lake and the cabins, where disputes were very obviously happening, due to the noise, but she ignored them. She was able to get some food after some bickering with a wood nymph. She carefully carried a soda and a slab of pizza back to the Big House.

She put the plate on Chase's lap and handed him the soda, "If you throw up, I'm not helping you."

Chase not-so-carefully stuffed the piece of paper back in his bag. He cleared his throat.

"Thanks!" He took a bite of the pizza, the cheese stretching as he pulled it away. He swallowed. 

"Ahhh! Heaven!!!"

Chase glared at her. "Way to ruin the mood!" He popped open his soda and took a small sip.

"So....."

"What?!" Chase asked, exasperated. "You're acting like I'm about to puke everywhere!"
