Shiku, his voice still raspy asked, "Why are you helping me? I am now everyone's enemy."

Nex cocked her head."No you're not....I asked Flame-Our leader- if you could join our pride."

Spark crept up on Nex and Shiku. She stopped and waited for a second before pouncing on Nex, biting her playfully. "Found you!" She squealed as she jumped off, wheezing a bit as she laughed.

Shiku smiled, "Thank you," he said gratefully. He looked over as Spark bounded onto Nex, "Hey there, fuzzball."

Spark lookeed at Shiku and gave a lopsided grin, "Hey! Your alive! I thought that big meanie would've killed you! But im glad he didn't cuz otherwise id hafta bite him to death. But I don't wanna do that cuz he looks like he tastes gross, like your friend."  She kept talking and talking and talking...

Shiku grinned at her. "Yeah, he tastes terrible."

Spark stared into space for a bit, "He still needs to be taught a lesson!" She said before bounding off into the foilage, looking for Thunder.

"Spark!" Nex called sharply, before lunging foreward and grabbing the young cub's scruff."Don't you dare go looking for him!"

Shiku laughed, "Fuzzball, listen to.. Sorry, I just realized I don't know your name." He looked apologetically at Nex. "Anyway," he continued, looking back to Spark, "even if he is a... Whatever you called him, he's still not a lion someone should mess with."

"Put me dowwwwnnnnn........." Spark moaned, completely ignoring Shiku. The lion cub started kicking at Nex again, starting to cough harshly.

Nex placed her down gently."Spark, are you hurt?" She looked into Spark's eyes.

"Im fine." Spark rasped, her voice a bit hoarse. "I just needa lay down." The lion cub collapsed to the ground and slowed down her breathing, trying to prevent the pain in her chest.

Nex glared at Spark."Spark, I can tell you're in pain." She lightly noses the side of Spark, listening to her breathing to hear when she sucks in a sharp breath.

"No im not!" Spark whined, slightly wincing.
