Windpaw trotted deeper into the forest. She looked behind her for signs of the other cats, and saw no signs of them. She looked over at Forestpaw and asked him, "So, what were you saying about Smallkit and Dawnpaw?"

SmallKit watched the apprentices leave. What does being blind have to do with anything! Im just as good as every other cat! The blind kit flattened her ears. Maybe they were right... SmallKit sighed then got up and followed her sister. It's not fair. The smallKit blinked off some tears and quickened her pace, trying to catch up to DawnPaw.
So... Um... I'm not dead. Ehm.

Windpaw smashed into another cat. She heard Forestpaw yowling in the background. She joined his yowl with one of her own, only this one signaled battle. She slashed at the cat, and the cat slashed back. Blood spurted everywhere.

Forestpaw froze, about to pounce on the cat attacking Windpaw. When he was knocked against the ground and the wind was knocked out of him.

Windpaw caught a glimpse of Forestpaw falling. She lept in front of him to protect him, snarling at the enemy cat.

Windpaw watched the cat who had been fighting her out of the corner of her eye as she threw the cat on Forestpaw off of him. She snarled again at the enemy cats, of whom were now both bleeding.

Forestpaw scrambled to his paws. A gash torn in his ear, and where the fox had bitten him the cat had ripped open the healing flesh.

Windpaw backed up so that she was side to side with Forestpaw. This way, they could fight side to side. She looked at Forestpaw, unsure what to do.
