Rory walked backwards util she reached Chase.
"yes, my hair brush."
Rory grabbed it out of her bag, not taking her eyes off the monster. She ripped off the brush part to reveal a razor sharp celestial bronze knife.

Rory glared at the monster.
"Get away."
It growled back, and Rory pounced onto it. She kicked it down, and tried to stab at it, but it was too fast. Is evaded her, and ran straight at Chase.
"CHASE!! DO SOMETHING"
Rory was terrified.

The monster knocked Chase aside and he flew into a tree with a nauseating CRACK! He fell in a heap and the Monster got ready to spring again....

Rory had no idea what had happened. Chase was usually a leader, knowing what to do in a split second. What was different about this time? Well, besides the whole teleportation thing and random forest.
