Faelin hoped that Rory would be okay as she ran after the girl. She drew her sword and looked around for Chase.

Gretchen skidded to a stop where she had heard Chase's shout. She cautiously began looking around.

Faelin spotted the girl. She ran to her, she gave the girl a look that said, 'you need me, I have a weapon and know how to use it'.

Gretchen narrowed her eyes then sighed and looked down, her expression reading, Fine. But if we are going to find him we might need to split up sooner or later.

Faelin raised her eyebrows, she fingered her sword and looked at the girl. You still have no weapon.

"I have my own ways of defending myself!" Gretchen whispered harshly. But it was true, her father had enrolled her in a tea Kwan doe class and she enjoyed it so much she ended up doing it for 5 years after that. 

Chase awoke in a pitch black room. Well, he had a blindfold on, so it wasn't technically a dark room. Someone grabbed his arm with burning hot hands, making his cry out in pain."Where is she?" It was a deep voice, and it sent shivers down his spine.

Faelin made the shut up sign, but it was too late. She heard something coming down the hall.

Gretchen was too busy fuming in anger to notice "You don't tell ME to shut up!" She whispered to Faelin, her anger practically coming out as steam from her ears.

Faelin's eyes widened as a black shape came down the hall. "Oh great, now you've done it!" She said, and charged the monster.

"I don't know who you're talking about!" Chase replied. Then yelled in pain as he was burnt again. He gasped as the hand was taken away from his arm and he was pushed over backwards, the hand searing strait through his shirt and burning his skin around his collar.

Faelin slashed the monster, but it caught her off guard. It smacked her sword out of her hand. Faelin was thrown the floor. She grimaced as she heard a snap in her in her rib cage.

Gretchen squeaked, she wanted to run over to Faelin and make sure she was okay. But she was rooted to the spot, fear paralyzing her.

Chase's head hit the wall and he blacked out again.

Faelin climbed groggily to her feet. Dots swam in her vision. She managed to grab the sword and weakly stab at the monster. Faelin was again thrown to the ground. She heard another crack,"Hope you can fight." She called to the girl, and tossed her sword to her.
