How do some of you people explore 100+ islands in a day? It tires me to go beyond 80.

You have to have the travelling magician to do a lot of island. Without him, 80 islands in a day is a lot more than I can do before wanting to kill something :P

You can just hop  out of the island if they don't have a cat's eye. I barely move when I explore, sometimes I'll get  really close vermillion - like 4 movements away. I move to get foutains as well but that's it. It's way faster.

Not sure if this is allowed, but im offering Rainbow Jars and Mutagen for Cat's Eyes in the exchanges.

Of course it's allowed, 30 cat's eye for one is a lot though. There's another trade up for example : 8 cat's eye for 1 rainbow jar. I traded 2 rainbow jar for 7 cat's eye but I wanted it to go quickly. Someone else is offering 20 mutagen for 5 cat's eye ( that's super inexpensive though it should be exhanged quickly)

Anyway, I got my Auxo, it took 436 islands with lvl 30+ pet ( 40% lvl 50). I collected 75 butterflies in explore.

Ah i will reduce the price then. I was not sure how much the exchange rate is worth. I have had no luck today.

I'm trying to trade vermillion for them, but... dunno if it works. 

I wonder if anyone is willing to buy pets for butterflies - if so, i'd sell any of my pets :D

This morning saw an abundance of butterflies for me in the grasslands, it was odd. Almost every other island. 

I'm up to 33 butterflies, I've been casually exploring only though, I've barely used any of by energy flow cards. I visit an island, with no fog of war I decide if I stay or go... Makes it decently quick without the grind. Most of my butteflies have come from quests. 

Most of mine have also come from quests. I've got 40 so far.

lol, it's always been like that, during some hours it seems like they spike, or appear more frequently in certain areas.

I'm up to 51 right now, and if I remember correctly, I got 21 from quests (going to get 6 after quests are done). They started showing more frequently in explores for me since yesterday). Anyways, this means I'm only around 4-5 days from getting Auxo, and completing the Triad.

I got over 90, I'm really close... today and yesterday the rate slowed down for me, almost all butterflies for those two days I got from quests. Meh... I should have made more PS cards :(

I am seriously tempted to exchange them all for goodies though, WS or usual item trades, since I don't like Auxo as much as I love Thallo and there are plenty awesome deals around right now. If I had Carpo, it would be no brainer because of the bonus, but I signed up too late to get him. Unless... do you think that he's coming back this autumn?

Even on those islands I couldn't always explore all of them, because I couldn't defeat the red monsters.

I don't have very stong pets, I don't a an inn, I don't have a postal service. I've just been trying with any pet I can, as often as I can, even staying up to around or almost midnight just to use up more islands. But I feel so under-equipped for this. It's actually stressing me out. I'm never getting that cat am I?

Well, this was weird.  
I still have some pets on the tundra, and for a change of pace, I thought I'd try to pound this Etelia I've been working on defeating.
Finally won (yay!), and went up to the next level.  

There's a butterfly on the tundra.  Don't know if I can get it, as my uni just got beat down by the red dog-monster.  But, it is cool to see a butterfly in the snow.  I wonder if it will stay past the event if I can't win.

lol, yummyquik, they appear randomly on all islands, and every time you go up a level for tundra, it kinda counts as a exploration.

@Sun_Showers -- Best advice I can give you is to look for some cheap GP3 pets, those should help you out immensely.

What do you need for building Inn and Portal Service Branch? I have a lot of unused materials, I could send you some.

Pff i am having no luck. Only got one from a quest yesterday and have 5 i could possibly get but dont have the right pets with the right color or genes to do so. 

I have found 1 butterfly exploring today though, so far, but it only gives me 24
