This makes me think of Windrose where the babies mature after 5 days but you have to manually refresh their image in order to see them grown up, giving you the option of leaving them as babies if you want them to stay little. There's no actual 'point' to it but having it available could be nice. I wouldn't use it but some users may enjoy keeping an eternally young beast.

She told me she wanted to suggest this because she thinks babies are cute, and she had a specific pet(an OC of hers) that was a child, so she wanted it to stay that way.

Because some people prefer the baby pet images but you aren't allowed to make custom skins with those, which would be the only other way to change it.

You can make custom skins of young/baby pets you just can't copy and paste the offical images because that goes against the rules of custom skins.

Since the request is just for appearence of a baby, making a custom skin would be far easier and less time consuming than creating and adding a new item to the game.

I have several unicorn foal skins, one realistic and one more cute. If you want I can make a re-color one of the foals to look like your OC and make it so only you can use it. Then the pet can do everything an adult pet can but it will still look like a baby. Send me a message if youre interested!
