Ooc: Alright. But if I accidentally use the wrong wolves, tell me. I almost forgot which ones were mine.

Bic: Sky groggily padded through the entrance of the Leaders' Den. She stretched, yawning, before looking up at the sky.

“Cloudy.” Sky paused. “I can live with that. Let's just hope the sun comes out sometime today.”

Dagger looked through the slowly waking camp of wolves. “Alder!” he called across the clearing. Alder's head popped up, and he ran over to Dagger.

“Yeah?”

“Take another Hunter, a Scout, and a Warrior with you and check the southern border.”

“Right away.” Alder loped away, and gathered Newt and Ivy.

“Night!” Alder called into the Warrior's Den. “We're going to check the southern border, could you come with us?”

Birch leapt onto Snow. “Come on! Get up!”

Night stood up at the sound of her name. She crawled out of the Warriors' Den and shook out her fur. 

"Sure thing" she said, and padded towards the entrance.

North opened one eye at the sound of activity outside of her den. She slowly padded out, her muscles aching with age.

"Anything I can do?" she croaked.

Chester woke at the sound of Dagger's voice. He jumped up, and hit his head on the cliff above him.

"Ouch" he said quietly, lowering his head so he could rub it with a paw.

He then sprang out into the clearing. "Good morning!" he barked loudly.

Snow growled softly, rolling over to throw her brother off. "I'm awake" she muttered, slowly rising to her feet. 

Blossom growled gently. "Careful Birch" she murmured, nuzzling the small pup. "Don't want to overwhelm your sister with your amazing strength." 

Snow growled. "I'll show you who's strong" she barked, jumping towards Birch. Sapphire yelped in surprise as Snow tumbled onto her after over jumping. She growled and jumped up. "Hey!" she snarled playfully and jumped onto her.

Juniper watched them play, amusement sparkling in her eyes. "Soon you'll have a few more playmates" she murmured to them, looking at her large, swollen belly.

Alder waited until Night stood up before walking with her to the entrance. Then, he gathered the patrol and headed to the south border, a grassy area with thinly spread trees.

Sky turned to North. “Good morning,” she barked, walking over. “How was your night? Did you get a good rest?”

Dagger turned to Chester, instinctively raising his tail and shoulders in a dominant stance.

“What do you want?” he snarled.

Birch ran over to Juniper and wagged his tail. “I want more playmates. Ones that aren't girls,” he added, glaring at Snow and Sapphire.

Night padded out of the camp, slowing down so she could keep pace with Alder.

"How's it going?" she asked Alder, sniffing the air for any trespassing scents.

North nodded slowly. "Back's been giving me trouble" she said. "But yeah, the den is comfortable."

~~~~~

Chester stopped, and tilted his head at Dagger. "Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the den" he muttered. "Why be such a stick in the mud?"

Sapphire growled. "You take that back!" she snarled, lunging at Birch. "Girls are better than boys will ever be!" 

Snow jumped at him too. "Yeah!" she growled.

Alder lowered his head and wandered off a ways, sniffing. “Good. You?”

Sky nodded. “I know what you mean. I'd be in the Elder's Den myself if I didn't have a pack to take care of. I don't really...trust Dagger. I know, beta usually becomes leader, but every once in a while, someone decides not to. I might have to. Dagger is a little...aggresive, you know?”

“And you are the beetle. Small, useless, and crawling all over the stick,” Dagger muttered.

~~~~~

Birch growled playfully. “Boys are always better than girls! Remember when boys use to hunt? Girls didn't do anything! They just watched after pups!”

Night kept walking. "I'm good. Maybe we should remark our territory today. It's been awhile."

North nodded, eying Dagger as he snarled at Chester. "Don't blame you."

Chester lifted a paw and looked at it. 

"I do believe I am a wolf, not a beetle, but I'm flattered!"

~~~~~

Snow nipped at Birch's ear before tumbling out of the den. 

She looked around the camp, then bounded towards Sky. 

"Good morning!" she squeaked.

Alder nodded. “Yeah.” He walked over to a nearby tree and began scent marking it. “Um, where'd Newt go?” he asked, seeing Night and Ivy, but the black and orange she-wolf was nowhere to be found.

Sky sighed. “I have a feeling some of the other pack members don't blame me either.”

She looked down, hearing a small yap. “Hello, Snow. It is a good morning, isn't it?”

Dagger growled. “And you should be.”

~~~~~

Birch jumped. “Hey!” He bit into Sapphire's ear. “What was that for?”

Night shrugged. "Maple is still sleeping. Lazy bones."

North nodded again, and looked down at Snow. 

Snow nodded. "Yeah it is! Can you wake up daddy for me?" She asked. [PS Maple is her father]

~~~~~

Chester rolled his eyes and pranced towards sky. 

"Dandy day so far, isn't it?" he barked. 

~~~~~ 

Sapphire yelped in surprise and kicked Birch away. "That was Snow!" she squealed angrily, snapping at her brother's ear.

ooc- okay, idea. How about Newt and Chester fall in love, but keep it a secret as the pack would be angry. Then Newt becomes preggers.

Ooc: You might want to re-read that. Maple was never called out, and I asked about Newt. Reword it in the next post.

Sky nodded, eyes twinkling with amusement. She turned and headed to Maple's "bed". She poked him with a paw.

“Your daughter is asking for you.”

“I guess,” Dagger mumbled, looking up at the sky. “The sun is starting to come out anyway.”

~~~~~

“Was not!” Birch insisted.

Ooc: Yeah, I like that idea!

Night shrugged. "I think Newt was headed to the border, but I'm not sure.

Maple groaned. "Ugh. Kids." 

He squirmed out of the hollow and shook out his fur. 

"Hey Snow!" he barked. Snow squeaked excitedly and pranced forward to touch noses with him.

Chester looked back at Dagger. "Stop moping! Even me, a tiny useless beetle, knows how to enjoy life."

~~~~~

Sapphire was about to lunge forward, but stopped and sat back. 

"What?" she said quietly to herself. Her eyes opened wide, and she closed them. A few seconds later, they reopened.

"I saw something" she whispered, turning to Blossom.

Blossom widened her eyes, staring at Sapphire. "Your power" she said quietly. "I saw it too."

[Blossom has telepathy, if you're confused. And Sapphire is just finding out her seeing danger in the future power.]

Alder growled. “Well we can't just lose her! She always wanders off, someday, we won't find her, and she'll get lost forever!” Alder whined.

“That you do,” Dagger muttered.

Birch growled and puffed out his chest. “Whatever it is, I'll take it!”

Night sighed. "I know. Let's look around."

Maple stood up and walked towards Sky. 

"Good morning" he said.

~~~~~

Chester nodded and walked towards the entrance.

[How about Newt and Chester meet at a special place every day and that's where she disappeared to and Chester is headed to meet up with her?]

Blossom shook her head. "Sorry sweetie. Not this." She nuzzled birch before standing up. "Let's go out of the den for awhile?"

Sapphire nodded and sprang out into the clearing, Blossom following close behind. She padded up to Snow and Maple.

"Good morning" she murmured to Maple, nuzzling him. 

Alder nodded and continued walking past the tree.

Sky turned to face Maple. “Good morning,” she said to Maple just as Maple said it to Sapphire.

Newt aighed, pacing. "Where's Chester?” she murmured. “I hope Dagger isn't pestering him.”

~~~~~

Birch stumbled after Sapphire. “Hello, North! Hey, why are you called North? What's wrong with with West?”

Night nodded and kept sniffing. She caught a faint scent of wolf, not from their pack. 

She lifted her head and growled. "Alder! I smell trespassers!"

Maple looked at the Mothers' den, where Juniper was crawling out from it.

"She looks like she could have them any second" he said.

~~~~~

Chester padded out of the camp, following the familiar path to the small pond. "Newt" he said quietly, looking around.

North laughed. "I'm not sure. That's just what my mother named me."
