Um...yeah. It was awkward. I'm having serious life troubles, and I began to freak out. I curled up in bed, crying. No one was there.

I could go in detail, but I don't wish to weigh you down with my troubles when you surely have your own.

Anyway, I took a shower, and I stepped out and wrapped myself in a towel, and it was oddly...comforting. I needed someone to hug, I was drowning in despair, and...all of a sudden I was thrown out of darkness and into warmth and love. Of a pink bath towel.

I don't get it either, but my first thought was it was God. Telling me everything was okay. Which was weird, because even though I'm Christian, I doubt too often to consider myself one. I constantly find ways to tell myself He's not real, but I go to church anyway, and I enjoy it.

Before my shower, I had been curled up crying under blankets, fearful, desperate, and alone. I prayed. I extremely doubt God exists, yet I found myself praying. Praying for a way to get out, to be rescued from the depths of my misery.

I suddenly found myself wrapped tightly by a towel, and I felt it. Comfort. I can't describe it. It was...I really can't describe it. Like...like love had become human, and was giving me a hug. Fear dissolved, and was replaced by indescribable content.

God touched me, and I knew it was an answer. I was tossed in the waves of hurt, of sorrow, and He calmed the waters.

Maybe you think I'm exagerating. Maybe you have a different religon, or maybe you don't believe in anything at all.

But it happened. I had to share my story, and here it is. It was indescribable comfort and love...

I want you to listen to me very carefully, Harry. You're not a bad person. You're a very good person, who bad things have happened to. Besides, the world isn't split into good people and Death Eaters. We've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are.

Even though I'm not a Christian, I know what that feels like...it's like someone is there for you, right next to you, guiding you, helping you.

I am christian, dont go to the church but still wear a necklace that i NEVER take off with jesus on it. I dont really believe in God since believing in god would make all humans decendants of those 2 people whos names i keep forgetting. I believe in evolution theory. Though i have to agree, sometimes it feels like someone IS watching over all of us. Who knows, it might be the greek gods or the roman ones!

I know this sounds silly but sometimes I think that a stuffed tucan toy of mine makes simple wishes come true and gives me luck.

Me too, but it's a Winnie the Pooh blanket I've had for as long as I can remember.

I lost it for five years, and it turns up out of nowhere, but 1/4 of its original length. I cried for a while, I literally took the blanket everywhere, no exceptions when I was little, so it made sense that I cried, eleven years old or not.

I still have it. I do believe it helps me by giving me luck.

I'm a catholic, i have to admit i never go to church, and i have my doubts. I sometimes get depressed and scared by the thought that there isn't a god and if there is no life after death. Death is simply terrifying. Like loosing yourself and being forgotten by time. all your thoughts and emotions lost. But sometimes there are moments when I feel like there is some force out there. keeping watch over us. Whether its the god, god(s) or just the universe, i don't know. But the idea warms me and i like to cling on to it. Even if my treatcherous mind betrays me every now and then.

I am Catholic and I believe in God. Their may be hardships and troubles, but I know that He guides all of us through them, no matter their religion. I always remember to believe that with God, I can go through anything, and will help everyone.

SuperHappy, please don't be offended, but the thing you experienced has nothing similar with God. Such violent mood swings is a well-known and very worrying symptom. The most common illnesses that causes them are major depression (I suffer this one myself), bipolar disorder and hormonal disorders. But it can be literally any disease - almost all disorders in our body affect our hormones and thus our mind. I would strongly recommend seeing your doctor if you continue having such episodes, either uncontrollable grief / despair or severe mood swings, no matter what is happening in your life and what you do. It's not normal.
