How's this for a story? It's not very good, but oh well, I tried.

A group of scientists were out studying some wild plants, when one yelled. The others came over to see him staring wide eyed at a strange looking creature.

It looked like a snake, with blind white eyes sticking out on either side of its head. Its belly and head were a thick, creamy color, while its back was dappled purple, like the colors of the sky. The creature was slowly bobbing its head up and down.

Taking this as a warning from the creature, they backed away. But it didn't react. One of the scientists laughed.

“Look! It's just putting on a show for us!”

Another said,“Careful. It could be dangerous! Its eyes almost look like they're seeing something...”

The scientists began to look around neevously, before deciding this creature needed to be studied. They carefully brought it to the lab, and discovered it was quite tame, and appeared to be attracted to the pearls that they had recently found in the caves.

This Kami is the Avidian. You can get it by Exploring in a new biotope, the Caves. The Caves are a huge underground maze of creatures seen only rarely by the Miners. In the maze of tunnels, you can find most underground materials, like Clay, Stone, and Vermillion. But if you come across a pearl, take it! These pearls are not only worth silver, but they can help you attract an Avidian!

1 Pearl= 1,000 silver

70 Pearls= 1 Avidian

Not much of a story, but I tried. Pearls might also be exchanged for other items, if Angel decides. I thought it'd be nice to have an event where event items can be traded for silver if no one wants the Kami.

I thought of most of this on my own, before realizing it's similar to a system in another game, where you go through a maze to collect orbs, fighting the occasional monster, and when you finish, you can trade them for money, or use 20 to upgrade a pet.

Is the story good enough?

Awesome story, the idea with the pearls is pretty awesome but maybe there should be different types of pearls like there were different types of pumpkins? Anyway, I hope that you dont mind but i wrote my own version. If you feel like I am doing too much than tell me but here it is (it is a tinsy bit longer than yours):

The sun was setting behinnd the mountains but the three felow scientists were determined to reach the caves before the sun set completely. They were entrusted a very important task - to explore the caves.

While they were slowly walking along the river that was supposed to lead them to the cave entrance, one of the three, found a big, white pearl. He quickly stuffed it into his satchel before his companions could see, they might take it away from him. He could sell the pearl for a fortune! Not having gone much further, he found another pearl. This pearl had a slight tinge of violet to it. Without hesitating, he quickly nelt down, picked it up and shot back to his feet before his friends would notice. He carefully slid this pearl into his satchel as well. On the way he found many more pearls, some big, some small, some purple, some white.

Soon the rush of the river faded into a quiet gurgle. The one who had found the pearls was very proud, despite his drowsiness. After wordlessly walking for several days, none were in good condition.

The lucky one with the pearls felt proud but yet something made him think that he was being watched. He shook off the feeling but it came back, ever so quickly. He slowed his pace, falling behind his companions.

Then he heard a sudden yelp from his friend. Panic struck him and he ran up to him. A snake-like creature was bobbing its head and flicking its tounge. It was a thick cream color, speckled purple but its most destinct feature was its two milky white eyes. They appeared to be blind, yet they were staring straight at him. No, not at him, at his satchel. Could it be the pearls? he thought.

The snake like creature slithered past his fellow scientist and came to stand right infront of the one with the pearls. It bobbed its head and started slithering up his leg, to where the satchel was. It stuck its head into it, then crawled in. A few moments passed when the snake stuck out its head with the biggest purple pearl that the traveler had found. All three stared dumbstruck at the creature. Then all of them started laughing.

They called the snake an Avidian. It loved pearls and once it took someone to heart, it would protect them with all its power. The three scientists explored the caves but the real discovery that was worth while, was the beautiful and loyal Avidian.

Hope you like it but its a bit too long. You decide if its good or not.

Hmm. It appears to me that Kami stories are short, undescriptive, and not usually from a point of view. It was a good story, though!

Yeah, I know but i still wrote it that way. Maybe I shouldve left out the fading river and HOW the scientist snatched up the pearls and.........
