I'm new to this game and I need help finding out how to make more vermillion.

Islands are a great way to get it. Once you have enough, build a vermillion golem. If youre only researching for certain genes then invite a geneticist to your inn. Also having an astrologist and setting it to vermillion helps to get more from islands. Beyond that you can hunt the auctions and trades for vermillion being sold for cheaper.

Building on that, I am building an astrologist lvl. 1. Once you set it to something, can you change it?
Also, if anyone can read my signature....
I need stuff!!!
I take pets of all kinds, and train them in my riding hall(up to lvl. 20, 500 silver per level gained)!
I will take any of your pets! But only 3 at a time! And, if you donate for other building projects for me, (Astrologist lvl. 1, for events!) I will also train levels of any of your pets FREE!!! <-depending on how much donated.

In order ot make a Vermillion Golem, you first need to acquire the Scheme: Scheme: Vermillion Golem. Once you have that, you need to go to your warehouse and use the scheme, then clcik on Craft & Construction and click Golems. There you can see all your availiable golem schemes, and if you click on it, you'll see what the requirements are to build said golem. -- Another way is to go to the List of Recipes in the Help bar, and search for what you're looking for.

so how do i get the sheme i looked in the stores couldnt find it

You can in theory find it while exploring islands (just like most other schemes and blueprints too by the way). Another option is to check the player item trades or auctions.
However, since I still have an extra lying around, I'm going to just send it your way :)
Also, LykosBreeder, yes, you can always change the astrologist to something else. And I'm going to send you a few of those building mats you need.
