The title doesn't accurately describe what I'm trying to ask, so I hope this will make sense. 

I've been trying the Battlefield out, and on my fourth round of one battle, I got this extra 1 point next to it, with a sort of "bloodstain" around it. When I made my defensive roll, the "1" was gone, but the "bloodstain" was next to my first round. 

I've gotten this once before, and I have no idea what it means. Any help?

I'd thought about that, but my pets have never all rolled the same maneuver, which the FAQ seems to indicate is a requirement for a Critical. They don't even have any one maneuver in common. 

Hmm, well can't be more help then this, unless you have a screenshot, or remember the roll when it happened, but I've seen the blood splotch before, when a squad I was fighting against rolled full Counter Strike / Strafing.

Okay, I just checked the screenshot, and I got three Counterstrikes and a normal attack. So I guess the attack portion of the Counterstrike is counting as a normal attack, so it becomes a Critical?

An exert from the Tactics FAQ -- This maneuver is considered an attack and a defense at the same time. It's considered a normal attack when scoring Critical Attack, and a defense when counting defenses for tactics. -- Pretty much, notice the 'a normal attack when scoring Critical Attack.

Counterstrike also counts as a Defense maneuvur as well, so it can score up to 2 points at once, XD. (This is also the reason why so much people use Counterstrike pets for Hold The Line)
