Will a deviant keep the diviance if a mutagen is used to change the color/pattern? Would it change the pet to a deviant of the new color/pattern?

Mutagen can not be used to get a deviant color/pattern, but it can take it away if it changes the color, or pattern, gene that holds the deviance.

So if I used a mutagen on my normal deviant and it changed it to striped or something, it would not become a stripe deviant?

No, it wouldn't. If it had a pattern deviance and it lost that pattern gene it would lose its deviance. However, I'm not sure if the color changed whether that would change its deviance to have that color along with the deviant pattern or not. I think it would.
