My pet Valor has not been updated to the 'new' base, which is what it's supposed to be, I just noticed it today. I'm not sure if it's just because of the custom skin ( which is made before the new base).

It's the custom skin. The art was made on the old base, not the new one.

You could ask the artist to make another skin with the same pattern but new base. Customs skins do not change on their own though.
