Need help figuring out what a Quest is actually looking for? You're in the right place! If you are looking for a specific term, use "CTRL + F" to find it quickly. There are a couple examples of decoded quests in the next post.

*If there is anything missing, please post so I can update!*

The Basics:

  • Quests may include any combination of these criteria, more or less in the following order:
    • Stats
    • Gender
    • Pet Color
    • Species
    • Genes/Genetics
    • Genetic Power/Degeneration
  • Only words in bolded font count towards pet requirements. Who is requesting the pet and why don't make a difference. For example:
            "Town Council is looking for a Puma with high intuition (87) to help with the town improvement and landscaping"

  • Numbers in parenthesis indicate stat points needed. For example "intuition (87)" means your pet needs to have an intuition stat of at least 87.
  • Throdamas have extra catergories, which are covered in their own section below.

 Stats Descriptions: these have "(#)" after them

Agile = Agility
Brave = Courage
Clever = Intelligence
Intuition = Intuition
Smart = Intelligence
Strong = Strength
Tough = Constitution

 Gender options: may be visible as symbols

Female
Male

 Pet Color: found on stats page under species and gender. This is a combination of their Skin Color and Skin Pattern Genes. There are many too many to list, so check Help > List of Skins and check the name under the pet's image for their Color. A few examples are:

Custom Skins; the name of the skin would appear as the pet color

Descendant of Heroes: Describes pet with Genetic Power (GP)

in 1 Generation = GP 1, Heritage shows1 green star
in 2 Generations = GP 2, Heritage shows 2 green stars
in 3 Generations = GP 3, Heritage shows 3 green stars

Degeneration: occurs when pet is inbred

grade 1 = Heritage shows 1 red star
grade 2 = 2 red stars
grade 3 = 3 red stars

 Genetics: You will be looking at the dominant/green genes to see if your pet has the characteristic. The requested genes must be researched already for your pet to qualify. This criteria has the most variables and will be listed by group in order. The quest should tell you what species they are looking for, but if not, you can look at Help > List of Genes > All and check the frequency column listed next to the gene.

Maneuvers and Gene Combinations:

Fire Strike = Fire Gland + Spitting Muscle, aka ability to breathe fire
Lightning = Steel Beak + Electric Gland
Poison Attack = Poisonous Teeth + Poisonous Claws + Venomous Skin
Unbridled Attack = Berserker + Boiling Blood

I have a question about this part - sorry.

I have been making some notes for myself and was interested in this section so I can have an idea of what genes I should try and breed for in the future. I have labelled up which gene combos are relevant for each species.

for example:

acid attack is a cockatrice ability as well as poison attack,

combustion and fire strike are dragon abilities,

lightning is for rocs,

counterstrike can be availible to all pets.

When trying to look up the genes for unbridled attack I found that the berserker gene is available to puma, gryphon and lykos but boiling blood is only available to dragon, so i can't work out how to get it?

I'm fairly sure I'm being stupid or missing something, but i can't find the answer.

It's just worded unclearly. The pet only needs to have Boiling Blood or Berserker; there's no species that can gain both.

Same goes for Poison Attack: the pet only needs to have one of the genes listed to gain the ability. I don't know whether the poison effects would stack from having multiple poisonous genes though.

All the rest of the gene combinations are correct.

Oooh, okay, thank you very much!

I knew it was me being rubbish. I did think it was going to take an awful long time for some of those.

This has helped me unserstand the parts I wasn't sure of but I have a quest and I'm just not sure if I'm thinking right on it...

It's -

brave (48) Fire nomad Throdama

I get the brave part but the fire nomad I'm just not sure of.

"Fire Nomad" is the colour, like "Mystic quartz lake", "Tan forest" or "Chocolate rock".

Ah, okay, so my thinking was right on it. I just couldn't find it, maybe I just wasn't looking in the right places for the answer. Thank you for your help ^_^

If you look under Help --> List of Skins, and click on the Throdama tab, you'll see all the colours and their names.

You're welcome.
