W have blueprints and schemes, so I thought, why not have a recipe/brew kind of thing.

It functions the same as blueprints and schemes, but you can only create potion related items like:

  • Amnesia Potion
  • Rainbow Jar
  • Mutagen
  • Energy Drink
  • Founder cells Culture
  • Etc.

Just thought it might be helpful.

This would be really cool, but the items to make this should be pretty hard to find, considering thees items cost anywhere from 3-15. :)

Rainbow Jar recipe could require one of each magic fruits! So if you had the crafting station, you could combine all fruits plus a Bottle to make one. It would cost 10 energy to craft.

Bottles could be crafted out of Quartz! 25 quartz per bottle or something.

Amnesia Potion, Mutagen...add rare gems like Diamonds and Emeralds to be components?

For sure, the crafting should be expensive. But doable. :D

It would be neat if we had some sort of "Alchemy" aspect to the game. Like we can collect plants and elements and combine them into bottle. And we can either combine blindly and discover properties, or view recipies... Sort of like in video games. Interesting, though I have not worked out the game mechanics in my head!

I like the idea of combining all the magic fruits :D

Yes, nightingale made me think of a building of an alchemist laboratory. There you can add recipies that you buy in shop or discover in explore. The recipies could cost in gold or silver, depeneding on the item it creates. When at the alchemist lab, a drop down box you select what you want to create. When an item is selected it goes to a new page with the standard materials needed, pet needed, normal item creation page. There it can be created if proper materials have been gathered. All of this should be difficult enough to not mess up the prices of such items, but not so hard that no one tries to create something.

Edit: It could be a high level of the normal laboratory?

I love the idea itself and was thinking on some type of alchemy for quite a long time, probably something close to what Nightingale has described. However there's pretty much work on developing the potions concepts, brewing mechanics and balancing this all with the existing game features without making it too complicated. Maybe we'll utilize this idea later along with the enchanced crafting system.
