I need a pet able to bring down the kami!

How strong does a pet need to be to defeat one of the kami?

A simple level 50 doesn't do... It seems they have to be at least a des. of heros grade 2?

I used a gp 1 coackatrice w/ regen to defeat Death, then I used Death for the other 3.

I think any gp pet should be able to take them down, as long as they have good genes.

I see, also I'm not yet at the point to battle them since I'm still needing some items to craft, and crafting pets. But the higest leveled pet I have of a gp 1 is lvl 12 Smyrigh but it have the possibility to regenerate, but I doubt that it will be enough. And the only lvl 50 pet I have doesn't have any special ability exept that it's possible to set the Tactical Maneuvers on 3 movements. But he have Fragile bones, so I don't think it will be enough either.

When I defeated Death I used a Lv. 50 dragon with GP 1 and Thin Skin (and Fire Breath) and just kept mashing the Rush button since Death preferred using Acid Spit when I battled him.

Thanks to Zaltys I now have my two. It is really no problem to get the other kamis if you have death. If they wern't so valuable I'd loan them to others...but since there is no guaranty to get the kami back...

Has anyone defeated a kami with a GP 0 pet? I only have one pet with GP and it's not a high enough level.

My pet was lvl. 50. I think it's impossible to fight the kami with lower lvl pets since the kamis are all lvl 50.

I defeated Death with a wild caught pet, so yes you can beat them without genetic powers....you just need to be exceedingly lucky honestly. It took all of Irelia's energy and I only managed it because I kept getting lucky with countermoves. Isn't impossible at least!

They'll have to be near 50 since that's how the arena works.

Amberfly: I have the same problem, but I'm not yet on the point to fight them, still have some more to do before that.

Verl: Then I'll probably try with the only lvl 50 pet I have when I come to that part.
