''Well we should take them out'' Darkmist said ''I feel it's the better choice'' She continued.

"Yes, but we are bound to be outnumbered, and they still have the child. Maybe once we have the child out, we can return with others to help us take them on," Kian said, "I want to keep the number of injuries down."

''Oh ok.''

"OK, we need to know how many are in there and where they stand," Kian said, a small film of ice starting to form over his skin, "Will you go in to survey or should I do it? We're both evenly at disadvantage. I have it easier getting in with the snow matching my skin, you have it easier getting out with the shadows matching yours."

''Yes we will do that i saw three guards but i'm not sure if that was all of them.'' Darkmist said.

"So, which one of us is going in for the child," Kian asked, carefully looking around the edge of the cave, "I can see the three guards, but there seems to be about four groups of three patrolling the cave itself. We will need a good amount of luck and timing."

''I'll go first'' Darkmist said lurking in the shadows.

"I'll distract them  once you've grabbed the child then. Just give me a quick signal when you do," Kian said, stepping back around the edge of the entrance.

Darkmist madeher way through the shadows she saw a guard and froze like a statue and when they left she grabbed the child and made her way back into the shadows quietly

Seeing Darkmist grab the hatchling, Kian stepped out into the open, the film of ice creating a bright display. Running in, he tackled one of the guards to catch their attention.

Darkmist flew back from the gorge to thier territory with the child.

"Good to see you back Darkmist. Where's Kian, you two left earlier this morning if I heard correctly," Rhithin said, meeting Darkmist near the cave entrance, not seeing the child, "I do suppose he can handle himself. He's his own person afte all."

Darkmist uncurled her wing and set the child down on some wet moss. ''Do you know the hatchling?'' She said.

"Can't say I've ever had him brought in for a checkup, but I do believe I've saw his mother earlier," Rhithin said, taking out a small towel and  wrapping the hatchling in it, "She was looking for him, and looked rather upset. I don't blame her though."

Darkmist studied the sky quietly.
