2) Search in stables. Since we can really only cheaply name pets once perhaps we could have an option to search within our own stables? I have too many nameless red owl gryphons to remember!

Personally, I just use a spreadsheet for that. But it'd certainly be more convinient if that was possible within the game. 

12) Generation- I'm iffy on proposing this. I would like to use it to see how far out a pet is from it's wild parents. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I suggested it here though: http://beastkeeper.com/thread/2526

Ambivalent. It has pretty much ruined some pet games: when only low-generations are valued, there's not much point in breeding anything. But then again, low-generation pets are usually weak here. Won't get far in arena or tactics with those. So I suppose it wouldn't be as bad here. 

I'm just not sure if it's needed. Flight Rising, for instance, seems to be doing fine without it.

18) More abilities. Especially for pets that don't have anything really going for them. Like Gryphons- I feel like they need some new traits. They don't make the best for battling. Dragons can have robust scales, and breathe fire, cockatrices have some good traits as do rocs, even unicorns have magic horn and fragrence. I just feel like this is a bit imbalanced.

Yeah, some of them are comparately weak.
Especially the Pumas: above average in arena, average for exploration, and wimpy in tactics. Counterstrike is mutually exclusive with both Sneak Attack and Unbridled Attack, because those require brain/paw genes. And Sneak Attack is nearly worthless now that so many use Hold the Line. 

But I dunno how it'd be possible to add new genes for the already existing species. Maybe, instead, some of the abilities should be improved a bit. Such as Scout: only Pumas get that, it's a rare and hard to breed...but also pretty much useless. No energy loss for the first attack on the islands? That's not worth two gene slots, especially when the alternatives are Animal Instinct or Acute eyesight (which is much better for exploration). 

19) Search for more traits in pets, rather than just two.

Would be useful, now that there's so many pets up for breeding. 

@ Zaltys. The reason I proposed generation is because I feel like it could help me better on my breeding projects. Especially if I am starting from wild pets. I mean it is seen in the pedigree. Perhaps if the pedigree (that only premiums can see) it could show generation there? I have seen games where it works well, and those where it does not. But since the preference here is for either wild or well bred pets, and not offspring of customs/first gens that tend to have full stats/markings I don't think it would ruin us.

A spreadsheet that is organizable or a search would be fantastic! :)
