Hand up cows butt, in icy weather, trying to deliver calves? Ugh no thanks.

Humans in hospitals with nice neat instruments and scrub suits on? Better, and you get paid better.

Although small animal hospitals are gaining ground....

Don't let a large horsy step on you...

Oi! Cows are lovely. <3 And calves, even covered in yuck, are infinitely more adorable than human babies at any stage of cleanliness (unless that's just me lol).

Sheep are also criminally underrated. At a stable they once had a pair of resident ewes wandering around. They were just like dogs, looking for fuss and treats from everyone. Stroking them was divine, they were soooo soft...

And of course, chickens, you know how amazing those are. There's a serious shortage of avian/poultry vets in many areas. So peoples' pet chickens often end up being killed, even for minor reasons, cause vets don't know how to diagnose or treat their issues. :( Which adds to the common attitude of "chickens are simple and cheap and it's not worth spending money curing them, or wasting time trying to diagnose conditions. Just put them down and buy some new healthy ones for a couple of quid". Except people rarely even pay for the vet to do that. Many refuse to take chickens to vets at all. See a problem, kill them at home...

Anyway, tiny griff update: colour mixing is mostly working, but the script randomly spits out pure black (000000) body parts here and there. Getting an all-black chick with red eyes is kind of unnerving.  o.O ;;

It's coming for you in your nightmares, Marans. Ooooooo-oooooooooooo

Sad to hear that about chickens. I love birds.

In our yard we have swallows nesting under the eaves, what I think is a mousebird nest in my jasmine wall, bulbuls eyeing my acacia sweetthorn as a possible site, and swifts deliberately avoiding the nesting box we made for them.

Argh :)

I hope those doves don't try to nest in my yellowwood. My cat could climb it easily and kill the chicks :( It isn't very big yet, although I planted it ten years ago.

I'm most likely going into livestock vet (I doubt I'm getting above a 3.6). Chickens are adorable, but cows are the most accessable for me. My college has chickens, cows, horses, sheep, and bees.

To be honest, I'm actually super excited for this development. I've interned with surgeons before, and it really wasn't bad, but I was so determined to be a human surgeon it just seemed natural. I know I'm going to be a surgeon no matter what, but I'm not great with people. I'm awkward and a lil bit autistic, and animals work better for who I am as a person

I'd rather work with animals than people any day. :)

Bees are classed as livestock? Are there college courses in beekeeping? Didn't know that was a thing.

Being an animal surgeon sounds great, anyway. Wonder how different it is from human surgery, and between different kinds of animals... I'm sure you'll find your preferred niche, and totally rock at it. :3

(also yay, the Satan-chick glitch is fixed. I'll keep a couple for newbie-scaring purposes)

There are those real life chickens that are completely black, even the meat, bones and feathers. Maybe art imitates life :)

Anything would be better than that cownicorn...

Butttt, this is pretty good.

He just seems to have confused the cheetah with the leopard. Cheetahs have a much shorter schnozz. Otherwise his lines are great, ant the patterns are very good. Get him to try a king cheetah next, they're sortof striped. Rare and rather nice.

8/10 with Honourable Mention.

I bred a double deviant apricot puma!

I love the lion pattern, and the muted gold is like my favourite colour! This one's a keeper :D

That's very good for a beginner! It's always nice to see people trying challenging dynamic poses rather than animals standing around. :D Get him to draw a dragon or gryphon or something next. Maybe it could have the king cheetah marks.

arete - it's the Cemani breed. Very handsome, especially the shinier ones. <3 https://cdn.brilio.net/news/2017/02/09/118945/579111-ayam-cemani.jpg

And congrats on the double dev! The lion pumas are the best imo.

Been slowly adding some marking "genes" in my game. Only displayed on existing griffs so far. Next, to add the breeding inheritance. It shouldn't be hard to code (compare parents' slots, choose one. In a few cases, like mother has tiger-fore and father has tiger-hind, small chance for chick to get a new marking, like tiger-full).

Then the random generation of wild griffs will be trickier. Need to think of probabilities of each slot containing a marking or not, and if yes, the rarity of each marking. Zzzz this may get tiring haha. Should be worth it later though.

You are making this sound SO awesome. As long as there's no pointless grinding for food.

And maybe you could borrow the questing for money to feed pets idea.

Angel, don't shoot me :D
