Congrats. How rare is it to breed a deviant? Especially a double one?

(I'm looking forward to the deviant gryphons arriving, but colour-breeding is all new to me... perhaps will have to work together with others, to get the best coats!)

Thanks :) It's chance like 1:10 to breed deviant pet, to breed double deviant it's rarer. To get double, yo have to breed to deviants (one colour and one pattern). I've try to get one from few weeks nad suddenly got 3 :)

I thought it'd be a good idea to use mutagen on some spare lv50 gryphons, to change their colours/patterns to homozygous. They were from wild pets, with a terrible mix of genes, and I had a heap of otherwise useless mutagen, so there was nothing to lose, right?

... it took all my mutagen, about 20 of them, just to get one gryph to match 2 colour genes, lol. Not even a colour I was looking for.

On the upside, most of her other bad genes are now good ones, and she got a bunch of great rare recessives, so she's vastly improved! Yay. Now looking forward to getting some good GP babies from her.
