Wireath advised me to find some cheap GP3 pets to help with the current event.

I brought three for 12000 silver total. Lykoses even! (Lykoses? Lykos'? Lykoi?)

One was named "Alice" so I named the other two "Alistair" and "Lydia".

Their genes aren't researched of course, but Lydia clearly has Tireless Heart. When I excitedly took her exploring I discovered she also has Acute Eyesight. She is the perfect explorer! I'm so happy.

What is the connaction between the names? You were lucky :)

More exploring, I found two energy drinks and a butterfly on the same island. On tha same island!! I didn't think that is even possible.

The connection between names is just that they are all exceedingly British names. I feel like giving pets real, people-like names endears them to you more.

Finally built both my level 3 military academy and level 4 astrologist. Now to get the blueprints for the final level warehouse, stable, and town hall. :)

Well, I'm off to explore with my NEW LEVEL FOUR astrologist set on Rainbow Jar. They seem like a hit when trading for battlefield items. ^^

I nervously tried the battlefield after spending a day reading about it in the FAQ.

I... think I love it?

I've won all my (2? 3?) battles so far. The dice-rolling combat is really, really fun. So much cooler than the rock-paper-scissors of one-on-one fights. This might be what I want to do in BeastKeeper. Well, I'll see if my enthusiasm holds when I start trying after the important zones.

I think the battlefield is the most fun aspect of this game, that and the breeding, for me. I hate having to wait the ten or so hours for my squad to recharge, hehe. Of course, once you've built all your top-level buildings it becomes less of a fight and more of a contest to see who's got the best squads.

But I think most of the really good players have gotten their top-level buildings and retired from the battlefield now. Pity...

Even though I've only been playing for a day, I was really thrilled to raise enough silver (4000) for my first blue roan Unicorn. Granted, that's hardly a lofty goal as far as petsites go. But what the heck, it's the first day, and I'm glad I can 'Yay' about it. :)
