I'm curious.

I call it the purple octopus. I'm sure it has a real name as the gaurdian... but what is your creative name? What do you call the other monsters? I call the white thing a swan gryphon. And the green plant-like thing a green octopus... the big green and red ones are werewolves. o.0

Or Easy Kill, Easy Kill, Hard Kill - For some reason the tentacle monsters always beat me... even though I think stats are supposed to be the same.

Hahaha. Out of all the "easy kill" the swan beast is the meanest!

By observation, the lone swan beast in the middle of nowhere will always be a lot higher leveled than your pets. ;D
But usually they're easy to kill.

This is true. And usually the further from the portal it seems. Whether this is coincidence or how it is... it's just what I've seen.

I actually get more paranoid with a monster next to the portal, blocking off the rest of the map.... :(

Those always kill me.... like always.. or I survive, but then there is another just after them that I can't get around. And that one kills me.

When I'm too lazy to move back to the portal I go find something hard and expect to die and get reset... but when I live I'm like "Darn! Now I have to walk all the way back (which is like 5 clicks for my finger... so really I don't have to move)." I'm just that lazy.

My boyfriend calls the swans "swiffens" (swan+griffen) and now I've started thinking of them that way too. I call the red and gray/brown ones guardians, but I don't have a name for the tentacle plant things yet.

On the topic of 'swiffons', it's the opposite for me--I honestly have trouble recalling if I ever lost to one. XD green/red beasts have always been pretty easy too; octopi, on the other hand, get me every time. :C

Speaking of monsters, I really adore the swan gryphon's art and concept. It'd be cool to have it as an official skin. x3

My theory on why the tentacle things (yep that is what I call them) or swan thing (yep that too) are harder or easier for people is that they use different attacks so if you are doing auto fights and your pet is set to say bite first they might be using blow first and countering it.

Since I've noticed the same patter it's just a theory. :)

I thought that too before I read in the FAQ that monsters use random attacks... Now I think tentacle monsters are tankier/more agile than the rest, and offset that by having less dmg stats.

No evidence of course ;D

Pink tentacle monster - Briar
Green tentacle monster - Creeper
Red monster thing - Blood Guardian
Brown monster thing - Guardian
Swan gryphon - Swan

Since the tentacle things look like plants to me. And that's creeper as in the vine, not that evil Minecraft thing.

Also, my pets seem to do best against the swan things but that's maybe because there isn't a "red" swan gryphon.
