So I saw that Lykos Eggs can go up to grade 4. How do you get them there? Is that where you have to use liquid vermillion?
How long, or how much, does it take to upgrade an egg to grade 4?

Yes, each liquid vermillion applied to the egg raises it by a grade. I wouldn't bother though, if I were you; liquid vermillion tends to be expensive, and it usually doesn't improve the resulting lykos by all that much.
