Bandit crawled inside the garbage can and emerged carrying half a pizza. He dropped it and started gulping it down.

Chaos eyed the bigger dog. He gulped down what his sister had given him. "What's your name?"

Bandit froze in eating, Then swollowed his mouthful, sat up and licked his chops."Bandit. What's yours?"

"Chaos," Chaos said, "and this is Jinx."

"Good to see some healthy street-dogs." He went back to eating his pizza.

Jinx smiled as this comment, then frowned, "Are street dogs usually not healthy? We haven't been street dogs very long."

Bandit swollowed his last mouthful and looked up."Alot die young. Like that small one that was hit? She's probably dead. Or, we'll never see her again."

Jinx and Chaos stopped eating, "That terrible." Jinx said finally.

Bandit shrugged."I was lucky to live this long. I've been a street dog my whole life." He cocked his head."And alot of us dogs get killed by being hit. Or we get some sickness."

Jinx suddenly had an idea, "Can we stay with you for a while? We're new at this, and you're good at it."

Bandit was shocked."Umm, sure." He'd never really had anyone along with him.

Jinx and Chaos yipped with thanks and began rummaging through the garabage again.

Bandit nosed around in the rubbish, he found a bag of half-eaten chips and began munching. Their oily-saltiness making his mouth water."You need to try these."He barked, nosing the bag towards the two pups.

Chaos shoved his muzzle in and grabbed a chip. He chewed and felt it crunching in his mouth. Jinx did the same. "Wow." Chaos said, eating another one, "that's amazing."

Bandit nodded and let the pups finnish the bag. He padded up to another can and  put his front paws on it's side. He grabbed the lid in his jaws and lowered the can to the ground, then he kicked off the lid and nosed around inside.
