Lionfeather hear the word fox.no. no no no no. not fox not fox, please, no.

Windpaw's ears pricked up. She then trotted over to Angelstar, "A fox? May I help hunt it down?"

SmallKit's ears pricked up, "Me too!" She meowed, "I wanna fight a fox!" The small blind kit puffed out her chest and stood taller.

Windpaw smiled at the kit. She knew that Angelstar might need help persuading Smallkit to stay at camp. She then looked back at Angelstar, waiting for an answer.

Smokeheart flicked his tail in anticipation. "No Smallkit." He said."It's too dangerous, but soon, when you become an Apprentice, you can hunt  all the foxes you like."

"But im 6 moons now! Im basically an apprentice!" SmallKit complained.

Smokeheart flicked his ear in amusment."Yes, but you aren't one yet." He hoped he'd get an Apprentice soon.

SmallKit groaned, "It's not fair!" And padded off to the nursery. She waited for the patrol to go and raced into the woods. Im gonna get to that fox before anyone else does! SmallKit thought to herself. She quickened her pace as she caught the smell of what she thought was a fox...

"Smallkit!!" Dawnkit followed her through the woods.

SmallKit twitched her ear, "DawnKit! Please don't tell a warrior pleeeeeaaaase." The blind kit looked hopefully at DawnKit

"Okay,I smelled the fox around here..."

SmallKit stopped when she heard a snarling sound behind her. The blind kit barely breathed, looking and DawnKit's scent, her cloudy eyes wide in terror. SmallKit whimpered quietly as the fox crept up on her. The fox picked up the blind kit in it's jaws and bolted, SmallKit dangling in it's sharp, jagged teeth.

"Smallkit!!!!" Dawnkit ran after her sister.

Pineleaf heard a squeal,and realized with horror what creature it belonged to."That's a kit!"Pineleaf yowled and charged up the slope.

Angel star was going to check on her kits in the nursery when she realized her kits where not there, "Dawnkit! Smallkit!" She called, where could they be?
