Windpaw didn't believe her. She saw a look in Smokefur's eyes that she didn't like. She stayed quiet, hoping against hope that Forestpaw would heal.

Windpaw smiled at the kit. She knew the kit couldn't see her, but what the kit had said reassured her, even if felt it was only a little bit.
