Ariana pulled a small cloth and a bottle of antiseptic, she put the cloth into the bottle and went over to Chase. She pulled back his t-shirt so she could get to the bites. She slowly dabbed, cleaning the blood of and cleaning the wound.

Rory hated not being able to see Chase, but she heard him hit his pillow, probably unconscious.

Truthfully, Rory hated being blind. She was just playing it down so nobody worried about her whaen they should be attending to Chase. She would survive. But Chase...

Chase felt as if he was leaving his body. Usualy when he blacked out he could feel himself, but this felt like before. When he was dying....

Rory let the stupid, hot tears run down her face in rivers. She'd lost her best friend. The last she'd seen of him he'd been covered in blood, in pain.
An insistent drumming on the door hardly reached Rory's ears. She was barely aware of Travis Stoll barging in, declaring all was good. He was lying. The word Ambriosa woke her up though.
"we found it in the chariot shed!!! A lot of it too!!!"
