Chase grinned."It's almost ready to cook, what part do you want?"

Rory shrugged. She knew absolutely nothing about deer, except Bambi. And they ate grass. And they were cute. That was about it. 

"Erm, ribs, rump, flank or neck?"

"I don't really care. At all. I like the edible parts."

Chase snorted and turned the meat over.

Chase grabbed a sharp stick he'd collected and stabbed the meat."Is the fire big enough?"

Rory eyed her little flame. "I'll collect more wood before it starts raining."

"Ok." Chase put two forked sticks either side of Rory's small flame. He rested the stick with the meat ontop of them so it looked like a spit."I'm gonna wash my hands." He said raising his bloody hands, he got up and walked down toward the river.

Rory nodded and stood too. She needed to get some wood. 

"see ya Chase," she said, and saluted as she walked to the edge of the forest to hunt for sticks.

Vanessa

Lunch had been messy, and Vanessa was certain it had been roadkill. After that fiasco, no one thought David could cook up anything worse than that. But when they saw him stirring that gray goop, with it's bits of animal bones and pieces of hair in it. They immediately came to a conculsion. They had to find something else to eat. No one had eaten lunch, except for David, who had tried to convince everyone his cooking was good, and had immediately puked his guts out. Sunsay had grown a cursed mango tree that only she could eat from. So that left Tia and Vannessa, since David would still not admit his cooking was horrendous. Sadly, neither had any idea where any deer or berries of any sort where. Since they were all so used to Sunday's homecooked food. As they searched, Tia suddenly got an idea. "Wait! I just remembered, when we came to this forest we saw some berries at the edge"! Vanessa glared at her. "Well why didn't you tell me sooner?" "Let's go"! She said, running off without an answer.

Chase remembered seeing berries near the edge of thw forst when he'd been dragging Rory. He washed the blood off his hands and the dagger and headed towards the berries. He broke into the clearing and knelt next to the berry bush and started picking them, he froze when he heard the sound of someone or something crashing through the bushes and trees towards him. He stood up slowly, making sure not to make a sound, and held the dagger up.

 Tia

"Wait for me"! She shouted, and began sprinting after her. Luckily, she caught up with her soon. Tia took some deep breaths, and walked into the clearing along with Vanessa. She immediately saw Chase and on instinct drew her weapon and aVanessa took out her sword.

Chase had a bandage wrapped around his left shoulder, blood had stained it red. He dropped his weapon when he saw it was just two girls, but he didn't loosen his stance."What are you doing here?" He asked.

Vanessa

"We're picking berries, because our friend is a horrible cook, and our other friend won't cook anymore because she says we're being ungrateful". She replied, capping her sword. Tia tied her bandanna/whip back on.

Chase sheathed the dagger and stood up straight."Well, I got here first."

Tia

She shrugged. "Alright then". "You can have them". She said nonchalently and began walking away. "We can't let him have them"! Vanessa shouted at her. "Why not"? Tia asked. "The living speciman got here first". "Then what'll we eat"? "Nothing, until Sunday decides to cook again". Vanessa glared at her. "Then we'll starve"! "Okay, I'm down with that". Tia turned and walked away. "Come back here"! Vanessa ordered desperately. "No thanks"! Tia shouted back, her hands in her overall's pockets.
