"CHASE!!!!" Rory stomped on the brittle hand, and helped Chase up. They were both shaking, terrified. Rory was seconds away from collapsing. She could hardly breathe.

"RUN!!" Chase yelled and pulled Rory with him. He ran back the way they'd come, but instead of going into the room again he continued down the hallway in the opposite direction. He found another door and opened it. He fell to the grass outside.

"Rory..." Chase fell back and stared at the sky. They'd have to keep moving, but Rory had passed out.... He looked around, there was a forest not far from where they where. He could probably carry, or drag, her. He stood up and grabbed Rory from under her arms and dragged her towards the forest.

Rory curled up, lying in a corner of a tiny, empty, cave and breathed deeply. It had been hours since she'd been able to breath properly. Chase had set her down gently, touching her head to check her temperature, and muttered something about being back right away. He had been gone for almost 10 minutes now. Rory opened her eyes slightly, and looked around the cave.
