Rory felt helpless. She couldn't do anything, and everything started to go distant.

"Chase..." Rory said, and fell to the ground, unconscious.

Rory was sick of being in danger. Granted, it was exciting, but it got old after about a day. She was floating around in nothingness, her life literally flashing before her eyes. She saw her infant self, in a bow on the orphanage. A 50 something year old bent over her with a look of disgust on her face. Rory then saw a small golden-brown haired girl huddled in a corner, trying to protect a small teddy bear from bullies. The next scene was a dark, old woman chasing the now 9 year old girl through a street, her face twisted and hideous. Her fingers were sparpened to claws, her back seeming to sprout wings. The girl ran towards a shadow at the end of the alley, a shadow she seemed to trust.

"Rory!!!! Hurry!!!!"

Chase drifted in and out of consciousness so much he no longer knew when he was awake or not, but there was one thing he could be sure of, pain.

Rory tried to rid herself of the dream, vision or whatever you want to call it. She could feel herself being taken somewhere else, but she couldn't do anything. Her eyes were seeing a world where nothing existed, and her mind was slipping away. There was no camp, no brothers and sisters, and no friends.
