We'll defintely post an update here in the news when we will have something to show :) The amount of work is very big for such a small team, so the progress may be not as fast as we would like to have it, but we're definitely on our way!
We found isometric environment artist, creature artist and isometric animator for our pets, and they all produce fantastic artworks and are true professionals in their scope.
A bunch of new creature linearts are done, and I'm in progress of shading them and converting to format that we can use for dynamic generation of patterns. We're also going to use the pets from current game version (except the dragon which will have completely new look) but with dynamically generated color and patterns. Creatures with old lines have a number of beautiful outfits created. Several pet profile backgrounds are ready as well. Explore environment art is a huge and time-consuming task, but we already have basic tiles for 3 biotopes plus some objects.
We have lots of new assets and visuals and a giant detailed concept, but at this moment it's too early to make a development blog. The coding part is a bit behind as we're searching for an optimal solution for our case. We tried a number of technologies and some were a good fit, but some didn't work for us. One of the slowdowns is that at least two of our chosen technologies are still in development themselves (backend and frontend frameworks). But they are very promising and have a number pros comparing with alternatives, so we would like to use them in any case.
