I'm not sure if this is allowed, but in any case. I was reading the forums and realized/noticed that there's quite a few players (including me) would love a wolf-like/lupine pet. The catch is, for me at least, that I'd rather see something bulky and dire-wolf like more than serpentine and fox-like. Anywho, I sketched this and well, I'd love to see something like this in the site!

A bulky wolf-like creature with tusks and perhaps horns protuding off its shoulder blades.

What do you all think? Suggestions?

Yes! After the spirit of the cockatrice. It's a little fat in the belly, but I'm really imagining something like that, with spikes and massive shoulders.

Edit: think Princess Mononoke.

Thanks for the comment SpaceShipRat. I was thinking more on the line of having it similar (though not, by any means, a copy of) to LoTR's wargs/worgs/whatever they are called, more so than a realistic-ish wolf like in Princess Mononoke. But of course, this is only just a suggestion. xD

I love this idea, and I love the sketch, but I think the name should be something different. Isn't a Warg straight from the Hobbit and not a fantasy creature?

YES! We need a canine critter for sure! It's like all I can draw!!! I think the legs should be a bit longer though (looks kind of like a wild pig body shape)- but I love the idea and that is a nice picture! That face.. I love that face.

Support. Love a lupine creature.

This sketch is wonderful in some aspects. The front legs are fantastic.

I have always pictured a direwolf creature as being bulkier/muscular through the chest and shoulders (almost barrel chested/bull like) with almost a mane (similar to the sketch). Much thinner through the body leading to a lean wiry hind quarters.

That is just my vision, I am sure everyone has their own ideas :D
