I was checking my pets genetics when my screen decided to glitch out and thought I said to send the pet I had recently bought with more than half my savings to the pound! I have no idea what happened. I couldn't get a screen shot cause I had no idea what happened.

At this moment judging by your description this looks more like a user mistake and not like a bug.
