Hey there!
Just so everyone knows, I'm not complaining at all, I'm just curious as to why this happened and how to replicate it if at all possible.
One of my pumas gave birth to this: http://beastkeeper.com/pet/855953
I noticed in the genetics section that it had "spotted" but with a star by it? Is that why?

It is deviant. You can look in the faq for this, and there were a few Help questions about it too.
Congrats! Deviants are rare and sell for a couple ten thousand!
