So i opened the gift bag and got a syringe to make the baby of a pet 100% deviant, right? Well, I used it, expecting a deviant pet everytime I bred her, since that's what it said in the syringe description. That never happend and I wasted my syringe (i think it was 100% CNA or something..). Now there are no effects on that pet and her baby is normal. What? Please help (the pet I gave it to was a puma)

Oh no! You're supposed to use the 100% DCA  on the pregnant pet, and it makes one baby deviant, if it has deviant skins and homozygous genes!

The baby must still have double pattern or colour gene - so the possibility for it to be a deviant must already be there. THEN the chance for it to be a deviant will be 100%!

Under normal circumstances, if you breed a baby with double pattern or colour gene, the chance for it to become deviant is only 10% (I assume you know this as you have quite a few deviants already), which is why a 100% boost is amazing, but it's not a guaranteed deviant no matter the genes! Such an item doesn't exist! :(

The syringe's description actually says it though: Next time, meaning only the next pregnancy and that it won't work on any breeding..

Next time when your female becomes pregnant, she has a 100% chance of giving birth to a deviant child.

This item doesn't alter the genetics of parents or baby. Parents still must be eligible for producing a deviant child for this item to have effect.

Homozygous; both dominant and recessive of the same gene.

I'm using one of the pics from my guide to try and show you:

The pet I used for that screenshot has recessive (=grey) Black and dominant (=green) Chestnut colour genes and recessive Cream and dominant Leopard pattern genes. The grey one is the "hidden" gene that can be passed down to any baby but that is not shown and the green gene is the one that is expressed as well, so this pet will be a Chestnut Leopard colour, even though all its babies could also inherit Black or Cream from him.

Anyway, if he had both sides of those the same, it would be double (or homozygous). So if he had both sides Black he would have a double colour gene. If he had both sides Leopard or Cream (or whichever other pattern), he would have double pattern gene. Only a baby with both sides the same colour gene has a chance at a colour deviance. Only if the baby has both sides the same pattern gene (so twice Piebald, Cream, Leopard etc) is there a chance there might be a Pattern deviance.
