My name is Eleya, and I am from Austria (no thats not where the kangaroos are^^). My english might not be the best, so feel free to tell me what I did wrong.

About me:
Well, as some of you might see from the title, I love "lord of the rings". I´ve read all the books, saw all the films, and tried to write some fanfic... I´ve also read the Hobbit and the Silmarillion.
I just love reading. Next to Tolkiens books, I like "Wild Magic" by Tamora Pierce, "Eragon", and "Night Watch" with all its sequels by Sergei Lukyanenko.
Films and series I like, are Primeval, Stargate (not the Universe one...), Star Trek (all of it), Harry Potter (read the books too), Narnia (didn´t read the books... shame on me...), and more fantasy related stuff. Oh, and I have a fable for Disney films. Especially the Lion King. Call me childish, but yes this 21 year old girl still sleeps with a little plush Simba in her bed^^
Music? Well, my favourite band at the moment is Maroon 5. Nothing more to say about this.
Games? Yes! I have a Nintendo 3DS, a normal DS, Game Boy Advance SP, a Nintendo Wii and a PS3. Okay, the normal DS and the PS3 are not mine alone... I share them with my brother. My favourite games are Tales of Symphonia (Wii), Spectrobes (Wii and DS), Harvest Moon - Tale of Two Towns (3DS), Mass Effect (PS3) and of course Pokemon (Blue, Crystal, Rubin, Fire Red, Pearl, Soul Silver, Black, and Dungeon Darkness & Sky). Online I am on Howrse (german version and international one), Magistream and Chicken Smoothie.

How I came here:
As I said, I´m on Magistream too. There was one Magi, with this beautiful Unicorn in his sig. Well, and here I am^^ My favourite creature here... hmm... I´d say, its the Puma, but I also love Unicorns and Rocs.

Same here... I only have one Puma at the moment, and three Cockatrices... Luck made me catch a wild Unicorn, and I got one Roc from the tutorial... the rest is Cockatrices... and I dont like them that much...

Hmm. I have a puma as well and one unicorn I'm working on leveling up. Haven't done any research yet except from the tutorial and what you get while exploring. I think if you find a lab on an island it does research on a random gene for free...I think for free. *shrugs*

I guess you can always give them up or sell the cockatrices.

Absolutely nothing wrong with plush Simba and other stuffed goodies to accompany one to bed, no matter how old. I recently bought my first ever Lion King related plush, and it is also Simba. I was really hoping for the large, somewhat life-sized version. But I settled for the small, can stuff in a bag and carry with me, one. 

Enjoy your stay. If you came from Magistream, this should suit you rather well.

I did some research already, but only on my Pumas (now they are two, one pregnant). The rest I also got through exploring some labs.
I know that I can sell them, but well... The two from the tutorial I want to keep, because they were my first pets (next to the Puma and the Roc), the third one is my first baby (also dont want to let hin go...) and the fourth (I cought it today... hoping for a dragon) has rather good stats... so I think I will keep those. My first female is pregnant as well again. This baby might go to the newbie giveaway. Cause I got my male Puma from there, and want to help others too. Some might like Cockatrices more than I do.

Thanks :) Thats what I think too, but my classmates had a different opinion on this... well, I dont care. Congrats to your Simba :) Life-size would be great, but you always need a lot of space for those... I dont have this space...
I realy like this. Breeding and collecting pets is always nice. Thats what I like in playing Pokemon too ;)

Oh, Magistream. I used to play that! Sadly, not anymore. Little issue with clicking games - like my wrist can't handle it. :(

I have the entire Wild Magic series from Pierce! Actually some of her other series, as well. I think I have about 12 books now or something like that. It was ah, Wolf Speaker that hook me - I bought Wild Magic just so I could read Wolf Speaker. LOL. 

Stargate! A fellow Stargate fan, at last! :D I like the original one best, Atlantis was good for a while. Never liked Universe. What was your favorite species in that series? Mine is the Tok'Ra. 

Pokemon on DS, huh? Yeah. I have the Platinum version, although it's my brothers that were Pokemon crazy til about two years ago.

Oh I´d love to get more of her books too... but they are rare in Austria... (guess I´m a little to lazy to read them in english...) I read the Wild Magic series so often, I cant count^^ I stumbled over this, when I was looking for a book to read in holidays.

Same here! SG 1 was simply the best one. I also liked the Tok'Ra a lot, but my favourite species were and will alwys be the Asgard. Also liked the Wraith (just for the way they looked like).

Not only on the DS^^ I guess I can say, Im collecting Pokemon games too ;)

Eleya, yeah, Magistream creatures are really good. Some of the best, I think. 

Oh, I see - I didn't realize the Pierce books weren't common yet in Austrian. (Is it Austrian? Dutch? German?) I can never remember.)

Well, I mean, I learned English by reading extensively. It's hard, certainly, but when you read it often enough, you start to pick up the language. I know a bit of Spanish, too, this way, as well - I read it all the time on the bus advertisements in my hometown.

Oh, yes, the Asgard were good, too. Personally, I think the writers didn't make good use of the Tok'Ra in the series. They could have been an awesome ally. It was a great concept and they didn't USE it much. Not well, anyway. I still hate the fact that Martouf/Lantash were removed in S4. My favorite Tok'Ra. 

My favorite Asgard would be... Thor. What about you?

Its German ;) The language is nearly the same, but there are "things" that are called different. For example: Austrians call cookies "Kekse", Germans call them "Plätzchen". For me is "Plätzchen" the belittlement of "Platz" what means place or space.

You learned English? So it is not your native language? I know, it would be a good practice... Well, I want those books so badly, I might need to buy them in english... oh and the names are better^^ Some names shouldn´t be translated! Rattail for example... in the second book, she was calld Rattail, in the fourth book they translated it to "Rattenschwanz". It took me a moment to realise that its the same wolf...

Yes, the Tok'Ra could have been more present... I quite liked Selmak.
My favourite Asgard? Definitely Thor, but I liked Hermiod a lot too.

My favorite Pokemon is, and alsways was Ninetails. Directly followed by Suicune. And yours?
