Anyway. We'll start with the list of characters. I will update this when needed.

Alphas:

Ash: dark gray male, really old. Mate died, and he refused to choose another, leaving the pack without an alpha female

Beta:

Shade: Black wolf with many scars, Shadows father

Subordinates(relating to story):

Juniper: brown she-wolf, Shadow's mentor

Winter: Shadow's mother

Holly: tan she-wolf, mother of Cherry and Tumble

Aprentices:

Shadow: black she-wolf, main character

Cherry: brown, tan, and white she-wolf

Tumble: tan wolf, always getting dirty, loves to play

Raven: boastful black she-wolf

Sunrise: golden she-wolf, Shadow's BFF

Other:

Devin: blood red werewolf(he'll come in later) ;)

The way this works is I post one chapter at a time by editing my second post. I will post chapters whenever possible, as I already know the story by heart. <3

Chapter One

     Shadow crouched, slowly creeping closer. She leaped, missing the small bird that had been in front of her, and was now flying away.

     “Shadow!” she heard her mother call. Winter was a white she wolf with green eyes. “Shadow, where are you?”

     “Mommy mommy! I caught an eagle!” she yapped.

     “You did, huh? Where is it?”

     “It, um, flew away! But it was dead!” Shadow rolled onto her back. “So what did you need me for?”

     “You're seeing the camp today. And your father too. He should've been here by now...”

     A large black wolf shouldered his way through the ferns, eyes watching them warily. Shadow stared at him. He had many scars running down his back, and his large Amber eyes were intimidating.

     “Daddy?” Shadow asked hesitantly.

     He looked down at her, then started sniffing. “I suppose she'll do,” he finally said wrinkling his nose in disgust. He went over to Winter, and they talked a bit with inaudible whispers. It quickly ended when Winter almost bit off his nose.

     “So,” Winter said. “Are you ready to see the camp?” Shadow nodded excitedly, and soon, they were off. It didn't take long for them to get there.

     “Welcome to camp.” Shadows father said, before walking away. A few wolves greeted him with,“Hello Shade” but everyone exchanged nervous glances after he left.

     Shadow looked around, wondering what to do next. Just then, a golden she-wolf walked up to her.

     “Hi, I'm Sunrise. Are you the new kid? You must be. I'll show you the other wolves, they'll be so excited to meet you!”

     Sunrise took her to three other wolves. Sunrise pointed her tail at two of them, one very dirty looking, and the other brown, tan, and white.

     “This is Tumble and Cherry. They joined a long time ago, so theyre almost done with their training. But I'm new like you, along with Raven over there,” she jerked her head toward a black she-wolf. “She gets moody sometimes.”

     “Oh,” Shadow said, unsure how to feel. She was overjoyed, but at the same time, nervous.

     “Don't worry, you'll get used to it. Meanwhile, I think it's about time to sleep.”

     Shadow looked outside, and saw for the first time the sun was going down, almost out of sight. Shadow curled up, and fell asleep with her new best friend, Sunrise.
