That there seems to be a rather disporportinate amount of male pets to females? Not sure if it's as prevealant in other species, but in unicorns it seems to be rampant! I've seen very few female pets, and I was wondering if anyone had noticed, and if there was a reason for it...It just seems odd to me that there would be such a huge gap!

Out of all the unicorns I have, I have an equal amount of males and females. XD

Probably just luck so far. It'll even out in the long run, when there are more being generated.

Its probably luck, it may be simply 50-50.

Although I think I recall that the sex ratio for equus caballus is 105 male 100 female, but I may be getting it confused with another animal.

xD I guess maybe I do just have horrid luck, then haha.

Lumiesque: I'd never heard that ratio, that's interesting :)

I currently own 10 pets ('trices, gryphons, unicorns and one lone puma) out of them, 7/10 pets are male while the other 3 are female. It doesn't seem very equal to me, especially if I'm not the only one experiencing this sort of phenomenon.

I have equal amounts of females and males in my stable.

I have ten pets at the moment, three rocs, five unicorns, and two pumas.

I currently have 11 pets. Five of them are female, and six of them are male. I have no clue what the 12th one is going to be besides unicorn. I'd say it's pretty equal so far.

I have equal genders among my 8 pets:

1 male, 1 female unicorn

3 male, 1 female griffen

1 female dragon

1 female puma

So 4 of each. Hoping for another female griffen and a male puma soon.

I also have more males than females, possibly thr eratio is supposed to encourage you to only breed the best males? Or perhaps just an incentive to buy the gender chaning item? I'm just lucky that so far my female gryphon seems to be pretty strong so I migth be able to breed some nice pets from her.

I have more females than males currently. But I haven't captured any species, only bred some, and all (two) of them are female.

If there are more males than females for the ratio, I think because the amount of females is what affects the rise in pets, and they might want to slow it down because more pets = more information and server space.

I think it's a fairly standard 50/50. I mean, look at it like this: when you flip a coin, it's 50/50 whether it's heads or tails each time, so you can start out with more heads than tails until it evens out.

Since the site's so new, that's probably what's going on. I have eight pets. 4/8 are female, but the numbers per species don't break down evenly at all.

3 Pumas: 1/3 female

2 Unicorns: 2/2 female

2 Rocs: 1/2 female (and pregnant! :))

A few bits of silver is nothing in real life...but it can be the difference between a stable expansion and limiting your breeding goals.

I'm still waiting for female gryffs... So far it hasn't been bad. My first breeding resulted in a female.

I've had a bit more males too. My guess is that if there is a gender difference, it's smallish :3
