I don't know that this actually needs resolving, since it only happens rarely, and I usually think it's funny, not annoying.  Sometimes, guardian monsters are placed very oddly on islands. I have attached a relevant screencap.

In a likely related issue, sometimes there are two guardians in a row fro a single chest.  Unfortunately, I don't have an image to attach for that case.

Map generation script is extremely complex - this is the most complex thing on BeastKeeper. It will require tremendous amount of time and efforts to find out how to change the logic in order to recognize such situations (up to rewriting the whole map generation from scratch because it may be impossible with the current approach), so unfortunately we can't afford spending so many resources to fix this logic imperfection.
