aesop strode towards his beautiful greek throne of quarts and gold. he climbed on and sat down. 'now kingswolven, i'm sure you are very confused

kings spat on the marble ground under Aesop's feet. 'Duh i have questions!' she yelled.

Aesop clasped his hands together. 'i have the  answers. my quest is to create the perfect civilisation, a utopia. it started off with just my nephew and i. Our stables and homes had been burned to ashses, and ashes to dust. we were lucky to get out alive. we roamed the lands of all corners of the world. we found nothing! nodody would take us in. nobody cared. we were crawling through this cruel barren waste land, when i spotted the crack. a crack in the sand. ' he stopped. his face was shining with a light that wasn't really there. 'we scratched and pulled and pushed and kicked the crack. nothing worked. my nephew was tired, he had gone to a point when he was willing to drink his own blood. that was how thursty we were. he uttered one word. 'please' and the crack widened into a door of sand. we opend it and we crawled into the hole. nothing was pitch black. the place was buzzing with light and life! just not the right life. this lost greek city wonderland was swarming with kami life. we had to umm.... remove of them, they were dangerous monsters.' he said.

kings gritted her teeth. 'the only dangerous monster around here is YOU!' she screamed. she pointed at him, body shaking with anger. 'what do you mean REMOVED? you TOOK their little kami lives AWAY! jus like YOU took their home! and my beasts! and other peoples beasts! you took MY roc and ATE one of my rocs at a BBQ! tell me WHY! why do this to us?!' she shrieked.

a smile lifted onto Aesop's face. 'your questions are silly. the answers are obvious. but i will spell it out for you anyway' he said

Q and Jasper looked ready to put up a fight, so king waited to hear the old man out.

'my father once told me, "the illusion of perfection is somewhat a nightmare." i never understood until a walked into that lost utopia. when i saw the quarts gates, and the statues of past gods, i felt at peace. this was my home, i thought, i have been saved. as we had walked through the many tunnels and caverns of this grand place, i didn't realize that it's perfection was just wallpaper over moulded walls. out of the darkness, we felt watched. just when it was too late did we discover that we really were. they did this too me.' he said rather peacefully. he lifted his cloaked arm and pulled down the sleeve. under was rotting, burning flesh. 'i got touched by a pestilance. i have never been the same. i am not perfect, nowhere near it. thats what my father meant. nobody is perfect. everybody had dark secrets. i did what was right. i put them into a painless sleep with the closest vet i could find. they were breeeding and growing down in here. son there would have been too much of them and they would have come out from hiding. they would have come in armies. we wouldn't have stood a chance. i tried to do the right thing. i tried very hard. sorry if it doesn't please you. as not perfect as i seem, i have set out to perfect others. just like you do with your beasts. try to get them the best stats and genes. i shall do so too. only with humans.' he said wearily.

' i stiiiiiilllll hate you' king said ' and your father too'

'and jasper too ' she said

jasper frowned sadly at that

aesop sighed.

'do you want me to explian the answers to the rest of your questions or what?

'i mean, if you ask me, if i found a place full of kamis, i would have fled'

she said ' not hang around till i nearly got a death sentence from a pestilence. being around ANY kami is very dangerous. except the hoppers, they're peaceful. in fact im surprised jasper here has all his limbs. saturnian cats are notorious for ripping people apart while they sleep. not pleasent.'

king said.

jasper quickly began checking his arms and legs to see if they were still there.

his saturnian cat meowed mockingly

' but, yes, i do want you to.' she nodded to Aesop

aesop smiled. he no longer looked kind and peaceful. the worry lines on his face darkened. 'you want to know why we take your pets?'

he asked.

' yes. i do. you MONSTER.' she growled at him.

'Go team uncle!' jasper yelled!
